Spoilers below:

Well, in the Lore Q&A at Runefest (just revealed in video form today), Mod Stu spoke about the Enchanted Valley, and revealed some new, interesting information about the land, likely in anticipation for an eventual Death of Chivalry II.

It seems some disaster befell the otherwise great home of the Centaur people, but a shard of said world was salvaged, and either placed on Zanaris, or in its own pocket dimension.

Mod Stu says its savior was most likely Saradomin, who would want to protect the Centaurs by placing said shard in a place where the disaster that befell it could not harm them.

While of course, we await the actual DoC II to get the finalized details, I feel it was a nice touch for Saradomin to save the Centaurs in the first place, and perhaps it's why he's so determined to save them now: Feeling guilt that his initial saving them only seemed to change how long the centaur race had left given the mistakes made during the God Wars.

I'm interested to see what you guys think of this information.

Saradomin: We should take Enchanted Valley, and PUSH it somewhere else!

From my understanding this is just an idea and not fully established yet....and it's a poor one at that.

1) No prior hints to this whatsoever. It's just lazy writing and feels like it was done more for fanservice than actual storytelling.

2) I'm fine with the idea of the centaurs feeling like they owed Saradomin, and maybe he could have brought knowledge with him to entice the centaurs to his side, but this does not work. This is WELL beyond Saradomin's power or, really, the power of any Young God. Moving through dimensions is very tough and it's hard enough to bring followers....you'd have a hard time convincing me that they can just take a continent, pick it up, and move it to another dimension. A harder time convincing me Saradomin had the resources for this during the God Wars.

3) It turns Saradomin's claim of "the God Wars leaking into the Enchanted Valley" from a likely falsehood to a flat out lie that nobody with an iota of intelligence could believe for a second. Nobody is going to care about a pocket dimension in the middle of nowhere, especially since Saradomin supposedly put it in a safe area.
Runescape doesn't need a hero...it needs a villain. An all encompassing force of evil that will remain ever-threatening and use chaos to make the peoples of Gielinor tolerate each other, grow strong together, and fight side by side against this evil. I am that villain.

I think it's around the size of a small valley actually... Because it's called The Enchanted Valley.

Valleys might not have a defined upper size limit (as far as I know), but I think it's safe to say they're generally smaller than a continent.

I have noticed your kind does tend to blindly stumble forward towards danger simply because it exists. What is your word for that?
- We call it being a hero.

It was big enough to support a multitude of races, not just housing them all but actually sustaining them to the point that staying was definitely a reasonable option. Whatever you wanna call it, if we go with this idea, it had to have been pretty damn huge.

So, A tier 4, perhaps less, god, can take a fragment of a world, contain its life and nature and skingraft it onto the moon or hide it in a pocket dimension?

Neat.

Gives me a sinking feeling this could be his "Weakness" though. That'd be awfully anti climactic.

I wonder if the jmods meant that Saradomin personally, with his own power, somehow took this shard and stuck it between dimensions, or instead meant that he is responsible for engeneering the events that got it there.

Maybe he made some sort of deal with some greater being, or collective force. Maybe he killed (a) powerful God/s. Or maybe none of the land was real, but created from memory the same way Nargun was made and Saradomin helped ferry the people to it. I say this because I think Hazeels right. Seems very far fetched that Saradomin can move a massive chunk of land with tons of people on it. Especially since Zaros had to go through so much to transport his army, and that didn't include a giant chunk of dirt lol.

Haha every time Saradomin and the enchanted valley are mentioned I remember the time Balustan told me that Mod Stu said Saradomin created the ent race by making humans and trees do it. Fyi stu says he never said that lol but where those gate keepers come from tho....

Zaros had to sacrifice a God to bring over some troops....and the way it's described it sounds like Saradomin had to do this quickly. But even if that isn't the case, I wanna know how he managed to rip apart the land, trasport it AND it's people safely without killing them, all while managing to preserve it's ecosystem.....during the God Wars where energy use must remain limited. Runescape doesn't need a hero...it needs a villain. An all encompassing force of evil that will remain ever-threatening and use chaos to make the peoples of Gielinor tolerate each other, grow strong together, and fight side by side against this evil. If the world was going to die anyway could he have used whatever energy was left (anima) to transport it? An Epic size naragi incendent, (except for him going Vampadomin on the others) that would save the chosen few? If so, I'd like to know how!

Theory 2, wrap a bubble around the vally, like the Zammy mage and the abyss, then bump it elsewhere. must have seemed a cool idea until the planet blows up O_o Well the Zmmy mage did say that if his (yes I am calling it a bubble), if his bubble burst it would threaten Gielinor. It would also explain why no one uses that method, other than indirectly by teleporting.

After all, blowing up everywhere you just were might be considered a touch antisocial :P

Saradomin has no control of anima whatsoever. Also, another problem I forgot to mention...

4) Why would he do this? It would be so much easier and less convoluted to just take the Centaurs to another world.
