So, in Endgame, if Armadyl wins sliske asks if he will use his "Forbidden Weapon" again, I first thought it was the Divine Focus, but i have seen theories saying that this weapon was the Elder Hammer, and Armadyl accidentally used it to shatter Abbinah and exposure to the anima in the core ascended him.

I think this might just be the case considering that when we ask how he ascended we seem to strike a nerve, as Armadyl almost cries when we ask, he would REALLY feel guilty if he destroyed the homeworld of his people, that HE is the reason that so many die from island collisions/water shortages. Maybe, he did it to GET TO the water, as it is said that there is no other water, if so then how would they know, in normal planets, cores are so hot, that we on Earth have only pierced 8miles (approx) into the ground, or does Abbinah have a water core like Naboo from the Star Wars prequels?

Point is, if Armadyl used this weapon to get to the water, and accidentally shattered his planet, he would never use it again, he would lock it away or try to destroy it. He would HATE himself, and probably does! This really makes you wonder how old Armadyl IS, because he would have to be one of the Early Aviansie to have it seem like Abbinah was always that way, and what messed-up world is created by the Elder Gods to have the CORE EXPOSED? Abbinah is the odd one out in the Universe, no other planet to our knowledge is like Abbinah, so this makes me think it was not created that way, but all Water sources were soon dried up, and Armadyl, knowing he needed to help his people, smashes into the core and accidentally shatters Abbinah, but finds Water aplenty.

If I recall correctly Armadyl united the different tribes on Abbinah to work together to survive the harsh world before he ascended. While the theory is very nice and makes sense (Hammer -> planet = shattered world), I think it's more likely for Abbinah to have been more of an Elder accident than one of Armadyl's.

Then again, my memory has been proven to be faulty at times, and this theory would explain Armadyl's guilt fittlingly. I'm definitely going to keep track of this thread.

Why yes, Armadyl did do Abbinah. Abbinah didn't even see it coming. He bent Abbinah over and did Abbinah hard. Abbinah screamed for mercy, but Armadyl wasn't interested in mercy....

...I'm either thinking of Abbinah or Bandos.
Runescape doesn't need a hero...it needs a villain. An all encompassing force of evil that will remain ever-threatening and use chaos to make the peoples of Gielinor tolerate each other, grow strong together, and fight side by side against this evil. I am that villain.

Thanks. I don't really think that the Elder Gods, beings who create possibly hundreds of planets, millions of times over, could make a mistake as big and obvious as Abbinah, all the anima must be leaking out the core!

He did not, we have good proof for this.

The fact that Abbinah is like it is is why the Aviansie evolved in the first place. Their entire culture even when Armadyl was young was based on the world being like it is, fighting over scarce resources such as water, just to survive for another day... He is the one who managed to unite them and improve life in this environment, he is not the one who caused it.

Prior to Armadyl, the Aviansie used to worship a series of spirits whom they believed created the world. One of the myths in this religion explained why Abbinah was a planet full of floating islands (Mod Raven actually wrote it up in its entirety in one of the lore Q&A's, I could post it here). Armadyl's mother was in fact a priestess in this religion and it was believed up until Armadyl achieved godhood.

Whatever happened I'd still like to believe has something to do with the elder artefact, as it was abandoned on Abbinah, but it did not happen by the hands of Armadyl. It could be the result of either an Elder God or a currently unknown entity. We do know Zaros and Seren visited Abbinah, Zaros to abduct Aviansie and Seren at an as of yet unknown time for an unknown reason, I don't find it likely to be Seren though.

Here is the myth the Aviansie believed up until Armadyl's ascension, which even Armadyl's mother taught:

Original message details are unavailable.
"Pre-Armadyl, the aviansie believed in a series of spirits, rather than gods, each of these spirits governed either the winds, the rocks or the water. Chief amongst these was Ba'Tieru the spirit of the storms.

Ba'Tieru was in love with the water spirit Do'thari as he belived that Do'thari was the most beautiful of all of the spirits because of the way his hair flowed as he swam in the moonlight. To woo Do'Thari he would take pieces of the heavens and move them into orbit around Do'Thari to entice him with their beauty.

Do'Thari was enraptured by these beautiful displays and he vowed to leave the world to be with Ba'Tieru.

But Do'Thari was the husband of Mied, a jealous spirit of the core. When she saw her husband vow to leave her side, she became angry.

She hurled the mountains at Ba'Tieru, smashing his display to pieces. Those pieces became dull and then turned to rock, becoming the outer islands. The pieces hurled by Mied became the middle islands.

Ba'Tieru was not deterred and he vowed to take Do'Thari to be with him in the heavens and Do'Thari vowed the same, for Mied was a cruel and controlling wife. Furious at her husbands betrayal, Mied wrapped herself around the world and smothered Do'Thari and his body became the ocean.

Ba'Tieru was enraged and with hands made from the raging hurricanes, he tore Mied apart, which is why the core of Abbinah looks like great hands have torn a hole in it. In his grieg Ba'Tieru could never rest and he walks Abbinah in constant, raging fury.

There you go, an old Abbinah creation myth should be appropriately new."
