Quick question for everybody who has kept up with lore alot better than I have.

Stone of Jas got destroyed in the sliske's endgame series.

The main reason gods were here in Gielinor was for the Stone of Jas.

I can see Zaros sticking around to try to ascend to elder status.

I can see Seren sticking around because of her elves.

I can see Saradomin and Zamorak sticking around because they are in a litteral size contest.

Why is Armadyl still here?

He can't use the stone anymore, he's supposedly the god known for having lost everything and hating war.

Why is he still here? I actually like Armadyl, but why doesn't he grab his birdy buddies and flap the hell out of here. What's his motivation now?

The SoJ was not the main reason the gods were here on Gielinor. Keep in mind, excluding V's encounter with it, the Stone wasn't found until the late 2nd age, and by then the gods were well and truly entrenched.

No, the SoJ was just a bonus. Gielinor itself is the big prize as it is the perfect plane of this Revision, and the gods can tell that. Granted, Armadyl seems very interested in pursuing an alternative to Gielinor, but he'll be on Gielinor until he can firmly establish that.

Armadyl's primary reason for coming to Gielinor in the first place was to have somewhere for his flock to live that wasn't a shattered rocky hellplanet.

If his negotiations with Seren about taking them to Tarddiad come through, he might just end up there instead.

Might want to do something about all the crystal meth addicts first if that's the plan.

I would also be severely disappointed if Armadyl gave up on the events in Gielinor entirely. "The existence of the multi-verse depends on it" level of important things are going on, and to simply wash his hands of it all once the Aviansie are safe and secure seems selfish and small minded. Not even Seren wound up acting that way (she's looking to derail her brother's plans and actually drawing AWAY from the elves), despite it being presented as her philosophy at the start of the 6th age.

Well, yes, that is part of the plan -- that's how he pitched it to Seren. Cywir elves are lonely? Aviansie are company! Far from exactly the same as having Seren back with them, but if Angof could wean herself off the crystals on her own, then having all these big birds around for support could do a world of good for the ones who'd need more help to do the same.

Though there are certainly ways it could go wrong...

Well, it's not like he's focused solely on his flock. Bandos wasn't a danger to the Armadyleans specifically -- only indirectly. Armadyl did what he did for Justice and the Greater Good and whatnot, and whether you agree with his motives or not, you gotta admit it's a sign that he wouldn't just flock off to Tarddiad and be done with it.

Gielinor is the perfect world. It was the last world that the Elder Gods created before going to sleep. Armadyl's home world was destroyed and most other worlds have been destroyed or aren't good for life. or no much. Every world we know has been extremely harsh in one way or the other. Gielinor, life can flourish.

Abbinah - Aviansie's Homeworld, was shattered. There are hardly any resources and very little water.

Freneskae - Mahjarrat/Seren/Zaros/Mah Homeworld, was once the perfect world. It is now a dead planet because of constant war.

Iaia - Dragon Rider homeworld, is peaceful and a nice world, but it is mainly marshlands which isn't great for the Aviansies.

Infernus - Demon Homeworld, is a planet with no life other than the demons. It is mainly liquid fire and rock. Obviously too harsh.

Kethsi - Was was completely demolished by the Dragonkin and most of it is in ruins.

Leng - Is an inhospitable frozen world.

Mazcab - Has been drained of most of its anima by Tuska and is overran by the Airut race.

Naragun - Guthix homeworld, destroyed in the Naragi God Wars.

New Domina - Icyene, can be a very harsh world and deals with a lot of travel.

Renmark - Home to Centaur and Unicorns is probably toxic or something because Saradomin had to find a new world for the species of the world.

Tarddiad - Elven homeworld, may be good, but it seems like it is always dark, so it may not be good for the Aviansies.

Teragard - Human homeworld, is probably always at war when there is a tear in reality that goes to the abyss.

Vampyrium - Vampyre world, is probably the best alternative world for the Aviansies. But again, it may be too dark for them.

Yu'biusk - Home to the goblins, ogres, ourgs, and orks. The world is impossible to live in. And is completely dead.

Zanaris - Is the moon of Gielinor. So it isn't really a big change.

So as you can see, there are some good worlds, but Aviansies have specific needs. Most worlds have been destroyed. Very few remain.
Come the Sixth-Age, the world will need the World Guardian.

It's the ways it could go wrong I'm thinking of. I think the Shapeshifters all need more rehab before Armadyl considers moving his people to a planet full of strung out addicts. Get a community of elves that are Angof level lucid and maybe it'd be a good idea.

I'd be disappointed if he did, but I don't actually think he will. Unless Jagex really wants all the gods out of the plot again eventually, and put Armadyl on a bus instead of killing him. Which I could see them doing, but hopefully only after the 6th age plot fully resolves.

V talks about having been to a huge number of worlds. Sure some were destroyed, but many more had populations to be a hero to. We don't know about every single plane in the universe. I'd wager a lot of the upper planes are livable.

The Crown Archival (Saradomin) Is the only thing that would have known what planet to look on for Elder items, just like all the Elder items can be used to know what planet to look for the Crown Archival on.

The gods little war of ego stroking has basically trashed the rest of the universe and now they are working on the last piece of decent real-estate. You know, because the entire universe needs to look like a psychotic rock garden.

I think at this point Armadyl just wants to stop the other gods from wrecking everything now.

Feh, crazy talk. Marshes are great places for birds, and I am not talking just waterfowl. Birds of prey (which the majority of the Aviansie in game seem to be based on) make a killing in the marshes.

If you suppose that because they have a bit of civilization that they must do at least some farming, marshes are great for that once they are drained. I think they are hunter-gathers mostly, though. Abbinah's water access issues don't sound agriculture friendly to me.

I doubt the dragonkin destroyed the planet/realm; just the civilization. What better place to rebuild civilization than on the ruins of another? Happens all the time.

Zanaris is a dark "world". When the player asks the fairies (Co-ordinator specifically, I think) how it is that so many plants grow in Zanaris without sunlight, the answer is simply the power of faerie (or something). The elves were doing fine on Tarddiad before Seren. The forests of Tarddiad are doing fine. The Aviansie, especially the more owl-like Aviansie, will do fine.

Nope Nope Nope Nope. They would be competing directly with the vampyres for many of the same ecological niches. There would be no peace there, only war. You think that just because both can fly that they'll become instant wingbuddies?
