Hey people, I just realized that, with all the awe of meeting Jas the first time, I don't think she really told us why was Sliske her agent... She gave her knowledge, and even elder items, in order to perform what objective exactly? Did anyone catch that up?

Surely it wasn't to have the gods kill each other, as she claims all the gods we know are irrelevant...

Oh, and why wasn't she mad about the dragonkin having destroying the SoJ btw?

I just made a thread about this, because I'm too confused about her motivations.
The plan was to cause a war over the stone of Jas, a war so devastating that the damage would prematurely wake the Elder Gods, resulting in the end of everything.
From Sliske's perspective it makes sense. End of creation? Cool, fun.
But I can't fathom Jas's involvement at all.

Oops sorry I was still editing.

But weren't the Elder Gods already woken? Jas was giving instructions to Sliske, and the other ones replied to her call...

Besides, she calls all the gods too weak and irrelevant, she probably didn't think they could do anything I believe...

From the dialogue in KS it appears Jas wanted all the Gods gathered but I do not know to what end. She calls them Harmless in SE. I have seen the dark universe yawning, where the black planets roll without aim;
Where they roll in their horror unheeded, without knowledge or lustre or name.

I don't think Jas may of been fully aware of what was going on. Jas didn't know the concept of war, etc which is what Sliske was trying to do. Jas probably expected something to advance the great revision whether that is what Sliske was doing, I'm not sure, I reckon it was more of Jas just let Sliske get rid of sentient life.

I don't think Jas cares for the SoJ, she has no need for it anymore I don't think so she isn't that bothered with the Dragonkin destroying it.

Im a bit disappointed that Jas didn't mention us fighting her Echo and defeating it. I have seen the dark universe yawning, where the black planets roll without aim;
Where they roll in their horror unheeded, without knowledge or lustre or name.

I think Sliske didn't have much of a mission besides reclaiming the Stone of Jas.

HOWEVER!!!! Jas may have considered Sliske ... a curiousity.
Sliske, much like Seren and Zaros, was a product of Mah. Jas could easily notice the connection, even if she didn't care.
But unlike, Zaros, he didn't have the arrogance to try to push for ascension or anything.

I guess this is where my theory gets convoluted.

- Sliske gets the Staff of Armadyl
- Sliske kills Guthix, breaks Edicts
- This is enough to cause Jas to awaken
- Jas connects to Sliske thru the Staff and introduces herself
- Sliske has an "oh ****' reaction on multiple levels culminating in a mixed response of "I can lots and lots of fun with this", "My boredom is cured", and "Well, the universe is about to go down in flames when these Elders wake up, might as well have a few laughs about it".
- Sliske is smart enough to figure out how to offer his services
- Jas treats Sliske like her attendants and others, teaches Sliske how to link the staff and the stone
- Sliske retrieves Stone
- Jas considers Sliske's usefulness "complete"
- Sliske barely manages to keep Jas involved by himself suggesting to use the Stone as a lure.
- Jas has absolutely no comprehension or concern as to WHY Sliske is doing this. Jas simply goes along with it because her agent says that such a thing is necessary.

- In truth, Sliske is just making it up as he goes along for his own amusement, fully aware that any slip up would result in Jas, Zaros, or any of the other gods killing him without any hesitation.
- Which in turn adds to the thrill of his high wire act.

tl;dr
Sliske was playing all sides against the middle for his own fun and amusement because his "master" didn't care wtf he was doing as long as he didn't break The Stone.

Make sense?
