In all but Mah's case, they are the predominant shapes on the egg each elder god hatched from and laid (presumably, at least given the Catalyst's appearance).

I think it was said in one of the streams or so, that more sides ones shape has more complex and powerful they are. Curious how powerful Mah could have been as EG of potential. Circle is made of infinite amount of sides in theory.
