Well, there's very little lore on most of the masters respectively, but I'll deliver what I can.

Turael was very good at combat and slaying in general. He married, had a daughter, Spria, whom he also trained at a young age to fight various creatures, hoping she could one day takeover and he could retire.

Mazchna is the only known demon slayer in the area and strive to be good. To ensure his monopoly, he chased out all the demons in Morytania.

Duradel excelled in combat and slaying and aspired to be the greatest slayer master that ever was, and took a questionable path not was not revealed in order to achieve his goal. He achieved his goal and remain the best for a certain amount of time.

Vannaka was formerly a combat tutor on Tutorial Island. While teaching new players was rewarding, he felt it wasn't challenged enough. He left to become a slayer master and was initiated into their order and put under the tutelage of Duradel, thus sparing him from the fate that would befell the island soon after his departure.

One day while studying under Duradel, Vannaka challenged him to be the strongest slayer master, only to be best by the latter thanks to a rare weapon in Duradel's possession. Vannaka accepted defeat.

Duradel married and had a daughter, Kuradal, and like Turael, also trained her at a young in combat and slaying. Like her father, Kuradal aspired to be the best, and would go out at night as a child to slay monsters and would eventually surpassed her father skill. At some point, Duradel separated from his wife. Turael, Mazchna, and Duradel, along with 5 other warriors, were recruited to fight against the Mahjarrat Lucien. While they were on leave, they left Spria, Achtryn (a fellow demon slayer master), and Lapalok, a disciple of Amascut. 6 of the warriors, including Turael and Duradel perished in a direct onslaught on Lucien, while Mazchna was grievously wounded along with Harrallak Menarous fighting the undead. Spria and Lapalok thus took over their predecessors’ positions as Slayer masters. Sometime after the events of While Guthix Sleeps, Kuradal took part in the Festival of the Dead to mourn her father, talking about how she worked hard to surpass him, and how she regretted not getting her Mom and Dad back together sooner.

During Smoking Kills, Amascut creates an incarnation of herself named “Sumona,” who attempts to kill of the player by luring them into the Pollnivneach Smoke where her sister “Jessmona” is being held by monsters. After the player accomplishes the deed through surviving the toxic smoke environment and the Banshee Mistress, she continues to hand out assignments, hoping to due the player in.

Chaeldar is a fairy Slayer Master of Zanaris who stayed her post during the events of the Fairy Tale series. She assists the Guardians of Guthix during the events of The World Wakes by taking on General Graardor, and stands with Juna and the rest of the Guardians of Guthix against the Saradominist troops. After their failure to prevent Sliske’s assassination of Guthix, she returns to her post in Zanaris.

Morvran Iorwerth was the nephew of the late Lord Iorwerth, during the Elven Civil War between the Fourth and Fifth Age, he was Head of Intelligence for the Iorwerth Clan, and led a warband along with Essyllt, to slay enemies of the Elven Resistance. One of their known victims was Idris, who was slain in front of the player during the Regicide Quest. Sometime in between Regicide and Plague’s End, he loss the use of his left eye under unknown circumstances.

After the events of Plague’s End, he gives up his position as next in line as Head of the Iorwerth and hands it over to Iestin Edern, the new Lord Iorwerth. Morvran decided to study combat and the art of slaying under Kuradal, and would eventually surpass her in skill.

That's all. If you want more backstory on Vannaka, check out Beneath Cursed Tides quest.

Throrblade pretty much hit the nail on the head. Though there are two "Slayer masters" he skipped out on. The Raptor and Death.

The Raptor we don't know much of anything about. He loves combat, has really fancy; and apparently strong, armour and a dragonfire resistant shield. The only other thing we really do know about him is that he's apparently so skilled in combat and Slayer that Kuradal says "You should be teaching me." to him. He assigned special high-level Slayer mobs upon their release, in November(?) of 2015.

Death is.. the Reaper. A Guardian of Guthix, much like ourselves, who was appointed by Guthix to guide souls to the underworld. Guthix chose Harold 'Death' Esquire as the Reaper because he was the first human to die on Gielinor. Death enlists the World Guardian's help to kill certain boss monsters to 'retain the balance' between life and death, as he's become too busy to do so, with the gods and their followers now rampaging in random parts of Gielinor.

Some more interesting details-

Until 5.169, Spria was on a tour of duty in the 'army'. It's never stated explicitly which one, but given her residence in Taverley, and that the Imperial Guard is a defense force, it may be the White Knights.

Duradel is strongly implied to have run afoul of the Devourer. Some unknown force confines Duradel to his abode in Shilo Village, communicating telepathically, and only allowing him to leave when faced with a world-threatening force.

Given the similar dress and face paint, most assume that Duradel and Lapalok were once colleagues, possibly acolytes under the same master.

Did both serve Amascut? Did Duradel give her rein of his soul in exchange for his slaying abilities? We don't know, but it's strongly implied that there is a dark heart at the core of slaying, some larger scheme. This is one of those mysteries that's been in the game nearly a decade, and I'd love to see some further allusion to it.

I guess the list isn't quite complete.

Replacement "Slayer Master"
Frank, clanmate to Death in the Four Horsemen (Death, War, Famine, and Pestilence) will take over the office of Death until Death returns, which does happen in Missing Presumed Death.
He'll simply fill in handing out tasks.
His lore is that when the 4 Horsemen were trying to create a clan, they needed a 5th. He was the first person they saw. While his clanmates don't take him too seriously, he's alright with it and still puts a lot of effort into the clan.
It probably says a lot when Death lets him fill in for him at his office.

Contract Based Tasks
Eskrine (Wilderness border) and Marcus (Morytania Slayer Tower) are pretty much the same character. Both are fairly wealthy individuals with no aptitude for combat.
They use their vast wealth to hand out contracts for people to go out and destroy evil.
So they help the fight in their own way.

Ling's history is told thru PoP. Former Death Lotus Assassin who lost her hand due to a failed attempt on Quin. She meets the Portmaster, goes on a journey thru the Islands and eventually gets help from The Occultist, The Whaler, and The Partner to finally kill Quin.
On Aminishi, she can hand out Combat/Slayer Based Tasks killing the Acolytes of Seiryu.
While there, she can ask you to help track down an old friend of hers that joined the Acolytes.

Morvan, Death, and the Raptor are 6th age Slayer masters with lore of after the 5th age. Just to help you.

the Raptor was a temporary Slayer master, Who felt that he should task people elite monsters Slayer masters wouldn't task "yet"

Death is a World guardian slayer only, assigning us to kill or shorten the lifespan of certain being that have been living to long.

Just a group of racists who turned genocide for the sake of their supremecist movement into a "skill". Runescape doesn't need a hero...it needs a villain. An all encompassing force of evil that will remain ever-threatening and use chaos to make the peoples of Gielinor tolerate each other, grow strong together, and fight side by side against this evil. I am that villain.
