Warning: Major spoilers for Sliske's Endgame read on at your own risk!

So at the end of Sliske's Endgame we manage to kill Sliske with the staff of Armadyl but he also stabs us with the other end. So gain our audience of Jas and explain why we killed him. We the revel in how we defeated out mortal enemy.

However as we are talking to Icthlarin at the end of the quest we hear Sliske's laughter and even if we try to tell him we 'decide' it would be better not to. But this isn't the only time we experience this in the dying seconds of this quest. The next time while we are breaking the news of Sliske's death to Relomia and she doesn't take it very well we hear the laughter again only this time we black out and Relomia is strangely cheerful afterwards.

It seems this can all mean one thing. We must've absorbed part of Sliske's soul into us. This also means Sliske is trying to come back to life and using us as a vessel.

This could open the possibility for a 'Batman: Arkham Knight' like story. Which seems fitting considering how The Joker and Sliske both have rather similar personalities. So it will be interesting to see how this plays out in future quests. Though this makes me wonder if we'll start hallucinating about Sliske.

Yeah I dont understand. Mahjarrat dont have a soul and are suppose to face the void upon death. It was the one thing that made the rituals so....final. I have seen the dark universe yawning, where the black planets roll without aim;
Where they roll in their horror unheeded, without knowledge or lustre or name.

Indeed however it is pretty much undeniable that we have Sliske trying to take over our body. But this wouldn't the first time Jagex went against one of their established plot points. I'm looking at you Mah.

Trying? He's been very successful in two attempts thus far. And by Mah I assume you mean her death. A combination of Zaros and Seren's doing. I posted about this in my post regarding SE, How powerful are those two when working together? They've killed an Elder and by-passed Jas restrictions during end game. Mah being the God of potential and they are her children...together they may be as powerful if not more so than an Elder.

They do have a soul. Like gods. But it just gets destroyed. And the only thing that remains seems to be the gem
NO
I do not ship ZamorakxZaros.
I follow them. And Marimbo, the best t5 god.

If they fused, they would start as maybe weaker than mah. I am not impressed.

True although it seems he can only control us for a brief amount of time. As for Mah well I was more alluding to the fact that Jagex stated that elder gods couldn't be kill. But it seems they've retconned that and they can be killed now. But I'd hardly calling Mah an achievement given the state she was in during Children of Mah.

If they actually die, yes. But Sliske cheated death by sending some of his energy into our body. I don't see it as a contradiction at all.

I have noticed your kind does tend to blindly stumble forward towards danger simply because it exists. What is your word for that?
- We call it being a hero.
