SPOILERS FOR THE MIGHTY FALL AND NOMAD'S ELEGY AHEAD! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

With confirmation that Zanik died regardless of your choice in TMF, we are now presented with a problem:

Who leads the Bandosians now?

Should you have decided to let Zanik live during TMF, she became the new leader of the Bandosian faction (aside from Graardor's splinter group.) But now, once again, they are leaderless.

Who is/will be the new Commander of the Bandosian armies for these players?

Discuss.

Well, I'm not too sure. The Bandosians will probably have a bunch of splinter groups with different leaders or everyone fighting each other for leadership, so until someone stops the infighting and gathers everyone into a massive army, the Bandosians won't be a threat or force to be reckoned with. They need someone with a strategy and a creative mind. Prepare for hell on RuneScape in Naval Cataclysm!

The strongest will rule, as is their way. Perhaps Zarador (though he didn't go with Zanik, did he?) will rule them. He'd probably be the strongest both physically and mentally. -
I have noticed your kind does tend to blindly stumble forward towards danger simply because it exists. What is your word for that?

^ Plus he could build war machines, which they desperately need to compete with the other factions. I mean it's not going to be easy taking on demons, Mahjarrat and Temple Knights with just a bunch of goblins and/or slow heavies. Prepare for hell on RuneScape in Naval Cataclysm!

Probably. Unfortunately we probably crippled their already disjointed forces sending so many off to die in Yu'biusk. (bet saving her doesn't seem like such a "good guy" choice now?) Even without that they are short on leaders. They seem to be stuck either fading into obscurity or becoming their own leaders, like the World Guardian should they remain bandosian. (which IMO has the coolest dialogue)

I mostly expect small groups of them pledging loyalty to different gods (I particularly want to see how Armadyl reacts to a bunch of bandosians complimenting him on his brutality and strength and swearing allegiance. Do you think he'd let them in?), and the more strong-willed ones probably going off on their own or joining the godless.

The Godless and Zamorak seem like the closest choices for the remaining Bandosians who want to go to another faction. I mean Bandos even confessed that he might have seen eye-to-eye with Zamorak if things had been different from the God Wars. On the other hand, the more disgruntled ones may actually join the Queen of Ashes, or join Armadyl purely out of spite for Bandos.

But who's to say that reuniting the Bandosians is necessarily a good thing, if they're going to be a near unstoppable force and wreck the planet? Then again there's a theory going around that Bandos stationed a few hobgoblins around the coast to keep Xau-Tak at bay. Who's to say that the splinter groups won't meet up and fight each other anyway?

Oh please, before you know it they'll be following us. And a colony of trolls will move into your POH basement. They'll drink all your booze, eat all of your food and probably trash the furniture to make a fire...like a party that never ends :P

Though I shudder to think what dinner will be, well as long as its not goblin again! O_o

On a more serious note, Graardor was looking to retrieve the Godsword and unite the faction under him. If I read into correctly.

Some Bandosians, including Zarador, do see some merit in Zanik's words even if you kill her, and they do go to Yu'Biusk anyway. So regardless of your decision at the end of The Mighty Fall, the faction was already divided between those who migrate to Yu'Biusk, and those who follow Graardor to the God Wars Dungeon. Your choice really determines whether or not the ones who go to Yu'Biusk have Zanik to lead them.

Nomad's Elegy made it so that Zanik's death means that the ones on Yu'Biusk now have to follow their own lead. Do they continue with what Zanik taught them, or did they never have her to teach them to begin with? And then you have the choice to even bring her back at all.

Graardor is absolutely a leader of part of the former Bandosian faction. It's just everything involving Zanik that's a mess.
