What do you think of the possibility of a stickied thread in this forum that includes a brief bio for the members of the lore council and their primary interests?

I'd find it interesting, and maybe the Jmods wouldn't mind sharing general thoughts on the direction of the lore there.

They might even make use of the willing labor to be found here - such as asking lorehounds for a summary of every known bit of lore related to the desert , a list of every known script used in-game , a carefully constructed development of the lore sorting out the concepts of planes, anima, and magic (I'm still hyping this one.) - you know, obscure stuff, that makes game lore so fun. Such explicit cooperation like this might enrich the lore community even more.

Last year, we got a bit more organised and formed the Lore Council (before that we had something else, less organised) and we regular meet to discuss current and future lore development. I think it'd be a fantastic idea if there was a thread in the forum dedicated to J Mods sharing some of their general ideas, hopes, concerns, etc with the lore community for player discussion and feedback. Of course, J Mods would have to commit to checking in on a fairly regular basis.
