Spoilers ahead.

So, given that this is the vampyre finale taking place in the 5th age, does that mean that once this quest is complete, that Morytania is technically bumped into the 6th age? Or will the spin off quests still take place in the 5th age?

Given that Efaritay is back, I would imagine this would spark some interest with Saradomin, should the following quests continue in the 6th age.

Same with Zamorak and Vanescula (and the House Drakan's sudden shift in power).

Will there be a World Event centered around rebuilding Efaritay's Castle, as she mentions in post-quest dialogue? On that same note, will we ever see any major changes to the land of Morytania throughout following quest series, to reflect the building human population (who aren't basically all dying).

Maybe a large city could be built for humans and Icyene, to be on par with Darkmeyer?

What are your thoughts? And most importantly, is Morytania now caught up in the 6th age?

Edit:
Confirmation that Morytania will now be caught up to the 6th Age post-RoB.
Original message details are unavailable.
River of Blood essentially takes Morytania up to the 6th Age - we do not think any further quests in that area would be 5th Age based.

The werewolves revolted in the quest, was surprised. Morytania has basically become like any other kingdom, being non-aggressive now. So I don't see why not. Morytania has plenty of sixth age quest potential, the conspirators are still alive and can be the next antagonists. I wonder how they would react to the sixth age? Efarity and Velia* reacting to Saradomin's return and the fall of the edicts? I would love to see them add that dialogue. I wonder what Saradomin will think of Veliaf? Reward him with a medal or something? Make him a general? Involve Veliaf in DOC2?

Zaros will be surprised to see Vanescula finally reclaiming Morytania in the name of Zaros, although less pleased with Saradomin in power, he is at least pleased to see Zamorak's remnants being all but ousted from Morytania.

Zamorak may have a quest lined up in order to well...sow chaos in Morytania. What we did in the Myreque series was like Red Axe, crippled Zamorak.

Armadyl may use this an example of how the followers of the gods can coexist and that even before he died, Guthix help brought balance to a conflict.

The conspirators left alive would make good villains for the sixth age. What would they probably try to do? It would be interesting also to see what Azzanadra thinks of Vanescula. Although she doesn't worship Zaros because she thinks his dead she follows his philosophy/ways the most as a ruler. Since the goal for peaceful coexistence like in the days of "the empire" has been achieved successfully.

I would honestly like to see some dialogue on the Sixth Age or present events by the npcs from the series. Especially Veliaf and Efarity. Otherwise it leaves a gap in the lore. Also what needs to be fixed more is the impact npcs and the gods have from learning of Drakan's death. The mass murderer of both many Saradominists and Zarosians alike.

Right now there is a big lore gap that is Morytania's significance in the present.

Vanescula isn't Zarosian. Vanescula merely likes the Zarosian way of rule (vampyres being inherently superior to and ruling over humans). And she's even abandoned that pursuit in favor of a system of equality between the species. Zaros might be interested in the political changes in Morytania (particularly since it essentially shoves the failure of his empire right in his face for a second time).

Now why would he do that? As it stands, the situation pretty much parallels the tale in his book of the gods. The region was 'fairly' stable, 'somebody' (us) injected a bit of chaos, people died, people reacted, people resolved the situation, and the region ended up in a better place when

Oh yes, he could take that away from this. He could also use these events to reinforce his belief that some people simply cannot coexist and must be eliminated based on the actions of the splinter group and Drakan.

Drakan was Zamorakian though?

Efarity and Safalaan coexisting could also show the benefits of Saradominist principles/teachings.

Drakan was an ally of Zamorak, not Zamorakian. Keep in mind that he originally established the Morytanian governmental system before locking himself away obsessing over his 'rock,' letting the kingdom become oppressive and the vampyres become complacent in his absence.

Sure, Drakan eventually got back around to trying to implement Zamorakian ideals, but in his death and the ensuing chaos, it cannot be denied that the kingdom is on it's way to becoming stronger and less oppressive for it.

But you are right in pointing out that it also shows the good in a Saradominst system. Isn't that interesting, considering none of this would have happened had it not been for the actions of a certain splinter group of Zamorakians and Saradominists? Perhaps this may be something the two of them can agree on for once.

There will probably be a quest to bump it to the 6th age. We already have quests there that take place in the 6th age.

But with there no longer being any old quest lines in Morytania, other than pirates, which is islands, it is probably already in the 6th age.
Come the Sixth-Age, the world will need the World Guardian.

I should also note, that this is such a problem when it comes to quests in Runescape.

I really feel like they should have gone and finished all previous 5th age content before pushing us into the 6th age. Or, changed 5th age content to 6th age content. (Make the Vampyre finale take place after the 6th age started. How would Vanescula change her plans then, knowing that Gods roam free?)

To me, it would have saved a lot of retconning and helped to keep a surprise element. (We know before content even happens sometimes that somebody won't die because they are still present in the 6th age).

Splinter Group is interesting, because their book seems to say that when the Gods return then their Covenant is over. So, if they're going to do more with them (which it certainly seems they will) then it would need to be done in specific ways. Either it would need to be 5th age content, it would need to be sixth age but give some reason they didn't disband (maybe their isn't enough all out war yet), or they could do a "Tales of the Splinter Group" where were travel to a bunch of different places to collect memories and see how they have increased animosity between God Followers in the past.

I would also like to see a quest or maybe even a series detailing what werewolves will do with their newfound freedom. Will they try to make Canifis completely independent and find that some vyres are resistant to that? Will they cross the Salve and attempt to create new societies, or blend into others? Will they declare war on other societies or maybe even Vyres?

Would be nice to see a miniquest for players to work with Safalaan and Vanescula to build up Burgh de Rott and Meiyerditch. Maybe allow us to assign workers and trade with Varrock for materials, etc.
