It would be nice if the premier tank and prayer armor had as much prayer bonus as Proselyte armor so it would be the direct upgrade to it.

Having Justiciar as the high level prayer armor would also help bring it back into use more after the advent of Torva.

It would also be nice if either the Justiciar set effect could work with the slayer helmet on task, or each individual piece of the set provided part of the broken up set effect like what was done with Crystal Armor a while back.

Current: 3/3 equipped - % Damage taken reduced by Def Bonus / 3000
Example Change: Each Piece equipped - % Damage taken reduced by Def Bonus / 9000

Huge fan of Justiciar on the main it has so many uses in pvm. I agree a few extra prayer bonus would be great. However it would still have to be less than the 3rd age druidic as that is the best prayer bonus in the game currently.

Well, druidic top and legs have the same prayer bonus as Proselyte actually. Druidic weighs significantly less than proselyte and lacks any of the negative offensive bonuses though, so in any scenario that you need prayer bonus and are using mage and magic accuracy matters, then sure it's BiS prayer!

Druidic is more of a flex item than an actual use item though. I don't think Justiciar should have More prayer bonus than proselyte or druidic, just the same.

Helm: 2 -> 4
Chest: 4 -> 8
Pants: 4 -> 6

I believe this may be intentional on Jagex's part, as otherwise the Justiciar Armour is best in slot for melee defensive capabilities, even outclassing the classic 3rd age (sure, it's partly a fancy set) and barrows armour sets.

They probably thought out the 'full set required' part as to not make the same mistakes as the RS3 counterpart team did with their 'balancing' (RS3 is all about 'one true meta' whereas OSRS is more of giving us various options on how to viably equip ourselves). I personally prefer having difficult choices between A, B, C and so on, rather than 'one true meta' progressively creeping around. RuneScape player since 2007.

I'm sorry what? Justiciar is already undisputedly the best purely defensive melee armor. It Should be too, it's a tier 75 armor made around defense. The reasons I call for buffs to it is because Torva is exactly what you are claiming buffing Justiciar would result in: an undeniable BiS for all content if you have it while using melee, bar situational uses for inquisitor. Because of it's absurdly high defenses for a dps set, anyone with Torva would effectively never use Justiciar, especially when doing slayer. Making the set partially usable with the slayer helm and increasing it's prayer bonus gives it a niche.

Barrows items have their own set effects and have their own usefulness in many, many scenarios and would keep those uses even if justiciar was buffed.

3rd age is not and never was on the level of Justiciar, it has always been dragon tier equipment that people only really wear to show off.

Strong support, it feels weird whenever I wear my proselyte when I have this set of ancient saradominist holy warrior armor sitting in my bank that for some reason is less holy than white knight armor with some gold trim on it. And definitely support making the effect per piece, on lot of things I'd appreciate the defense on, I end up not using it because I can mitigate more damage just by getting faster kills with the slayer helm.
