I would like to suggest a mode for 2006 players. If you search up YouTube videos like Durial321 or I Atrum I pk vid 8, or Elvemage pk vid 3, you'll see the interface I'm referring to. I would love to have a world with that old school-style interface, where only classic items are available. The new items in OSRS wouldn't be allowed in this specific world. It would be a classic experience for old school RuneScape players. I've noticed that you've added a Deadman mode and worlds that have PvP only. Is it possible to create a classic mode for 2006 players? A classic world with the 2006 RS interface, using only classic RS items instead of the new items we have today in OSRS, like the Abyssal dagger. I know it's probably a lot of work, but I would be willing to pay for a 2006 OSRS interface with new highscores, old school items only, and PvP hot spots focused on places like the Mage Bank, Edgeville, and Green Dragons, without the Wilderness ditch.

we only have osrs as we have it now, due to them finding a hard drive with a save file of the 2007 version of it

i doubt a 2006 version is out there

also just a suggestion you have a few threads named the same, which isnt overly user friendly with finding threads. maybe have different titles related to the content in it, not just "feedback"

I seen they found a 2007 version hard drive but with technology today can’t we just recreate it? I mean there was a thing called 2006scape with 500k players & that was on a whole different server until jagex did a seize & lawsuit on 2006scape so it is very possible it just takes some work.

private servers are illegal, ive never been on one, i dont know how accurate it is to the 2006 game, whats missing etc etc etc etc etc

yes they could recreate it (but its highly unlikely due how it was coded). but that would take a huge amount of time. and it wont be perfect. im pretty sure only 1 j mod thats in jagex now was working for jagex back in 2006.

if you are wanting them to code 2006 version. then i cant support it as it would take important dev time away from other games.

nor do i think the version you want be super active so not worth the time.

I mean it’s a suggestion obviously if you did research there are players who want 2006 pking it would be nostalgic & worth it, if there’s a dev already there since 2006 than it’s 10x more likely even more possible to recode it with the technology today like AI & newer programs I’m 100% it’s possible.

if i did research? what? yes there is a small handful of players that want it. a very very very small % of the community. will they stay there after or go back to osrs?

no its not more likely at all. i dont know how you got that its 10x more likely because 1 j mod was from that time. literally just 1, out of the whole team.

i never said it wasnt possible. im saying its not worth the time.
