For the longest time, PvP has been looked down upon for various reasons;
whether it be lack of rewards, the difficulty, or just the fact that it can sometimes downright be boring. There is also a lackluster of coop/PvP content that isn't jam-packed like Soul Wars and this would provide just that.
I had an idea. Not only would it create an awesome PvP minigame, but
it'll emphasize combat between six people (three against three)
. Various modes would be available (I'll explain below) and of course, rewards.
Allow me to elaborate.
Bandos is the God of War, and what better way for his followers to enjoy themselves than to watch RuneScape's heroes battle it out in a 3v3 match? Players would learn the game mode and access rewards via a Bandos Emissary.
Upon entering the mini-game lobby, players might see a bank, a chest where they can customize their competitive gear (similar to LMS), as well as the scoreboard. Points will be earned based on wins and kills. Kills provide one additional point while a win counts as 4. These are totaled at the end of the game.
I also think that teams must be within 20 combat levels of each other as this will decrease risk for bot farming.
There will feature three game modes:
Casual Deathmatch: Multiple respawns. Any gear is fine. First to reach score of 20 wins.
Competitive Deathmatch: One respawn. Fixed gear. Best of 5.
Bandos' Shadow: Considered the hardest difficulty of the three. It is exactly the same as Competitive Deathmatch, however it has a catch: The Spirit of Bandos will be attacking all 6 players acting effectively as a boss fight. His health, however, is only at 200 (to promote players attacking him), and he drops random gear that's better than the fixed gear allowed in the mode. This means killing him and looting him gives advantage.
I personally believe it would bring in a new stream of pkers while also giving veterans those small team-based strategic fights PvP lacks.
Thank you!
