Leveling Methods examples:

1-10: Players can begin their journey in King's Fleet by sending out basic ships on short voyages to gather simple resources such as fish and wood. This can be done by speaking to the Shipmaster at the kingdom's port and selecting the voyage that you would like to send your ship on. Each voyage will have a set duration and a chance to yield various resources and rewards upon completion. Players can also begin to manage the resources and facilities at their kingdom's port by speaking to the Quartermaster and organizing shipments or repairing ships.

11-20: As players progress in the King's Fleet skill, they can send out more advanced ships on longer voyages to gather more valuable resources such as ore and herbs. These voyages will have a higher chance to yield rarer resources and rewards, but they will also come with a higher risk of failure. Players can also begin to negotiate trade deals with other kingdoms by speaking to the Trade Czar at the kingdom's port. These deals will allow players to exchange resources with other kingdoms in exchange for reputation points, which can be used to unlock new abilities and rewards.

21-30: At these levels, players can engage in naval combat with other kingdoms and sea creatures to defend their territory and expand their borders. Naval combat can be initiated by speaking to the Admiral at the kingdom's port and selecting the target kingdom or sea creature that you would like to engage with. Players will need to choose their crew wisely and make strategic decisions during the battle in order to emerge victorious. In addition to naval combat, players can also begin to explore uncharted waters and discover new lands and resources by speaking to the Cartographer at the kingdom's port.

31-40: As players continue to progress in the King's Fleet skill, they can send out even more advanced ships on even longer voyages to gather rare and valuable resources. These voyages will have a higher chance to yield the rarest and most valuable resources, but they will also come with an even higher risk of failure. Players can also begin to negotiate more complex trade deals and make political decisions that affect their kingdom's reputation and resources by speaking to the Royal Advisor at the kingdom's port. These decisions will have long-term consequences and will require players to weigh the pros and cons carefully.

41-50: At these levels, players can engage in more difficult naval battles and complete kingdom quests on behalf of their ruler. These quests will require players to gather specific resources or defeat certain opponents in order to advance. Players can also begin to build and upgrade structures and facilities in their kingdom, such as shipyards and warehouses, by speaking to the Architect at the kingdom's port. These structures will provide various benefits, such as increased resource capacity or faster voyage

There are a few ways to can prevent the King's Fleet skill from breaking the economy or becoming too overpowered in terms of resource gathering:

Implement a resource cap: This can limit the amount of resources that players can gather in a certain time period, preventing them from becoming too overpowered.

Introduce resource scarcity: By making certain resources rare or harder to obtain, players will have to choose which resources they prioritize and invest in, rather than being able to gather everything in large quantities.

Incorporate a money sink: This can be something like repairs, upgrades, or maintenance for ships and facilities that require a constant investment from players.

players could use resources gathered from sailing voyages to upgrade their kingdom's port facilities or buildings, or to research new technologies that benefit their kingdom. This way, players will still be able to gather resources through the King's Fleet skill, but they will also need to spend those resources in order to progress and improve their kingdom. This creates a balance between resource gathering and resource expenditure, helping to prevent the skill from unbalancing the game's economy.

Here are a couple a ways that the King's Fleet skill could be made more engaging for players:

Dynamic Events: Adding randomly-generated events that occur while players are out sailing could add an element of surprise and keep the gameplay fresh. These events could include storms, sea monster attacks, or encounters with other ships.

Choice and Consequence: Adding decision-making elements to the skill, such as the ability to choose which resources to gather or which trade deals to accept, could make the gameplay more immersive and give players a sense of agency.

Sailing Mechanics: Improving the sailing mechanics and adding more depth to the navigation of ships could make the skill more engaging for players who enjoy a more realistic sailing experience.

Customization: Allowing players to customize their ships with different hulls, sails, and decorations could make the skill more personalized and give players a greater sense of ownership over their vessels.

Allow players to form alliances or crews with other players and sail together on voyages or engage in naval battles.

Add a variety of mini-games and puzzles for players to complete while sailing or exploring the islands, such as searching for hidden treasure or solving riddles.
