Hello Jagex, i'd like to start this with great job, your game has captivated me for 22 years of my life, it has shaped me and molded me in many ways, taught me hard lessons and perseverance.
However, youve recently made a change, that gates my ability to complete the varrock medium diaries without modifying my accounts login credentials permanently and i really dont think thats a fair thing to do to your community, my main account is 20 years old, ive spent 20 years logging in the same way and now you want me to change that by forcing me to upgrade to a jagex account for an emote to complete the varrock medium diaries.. come on guys.. let us choose, some of us love our original log in name.. it gives us nostalgia.
i understand the need for account security, and i understand your want for everyone to have all accounts in one place, offering additional things like bank slots is a wonderful choice youve given your consumers.. but today i realized my biggest regret was not finishing the stronghold of security years ago when osrs released because now anybody trying to complete it not only needs 2 factor authentication (which i also didnt want to add to my account due to losing authenticator access in the past on other games and never regaining access) but is REQUIRED to change their original runescape account to a jagex account. how is that even fair? its either give up original login details or dont progress.. ive given you guys alot of money over the years, between memberships for 20 years on at least 1 account and up to 5 accounts at a time, between treasure hunter spins, between bonds... and really truly this is kinda my tipping point.. its only been a couple months of forcing players into jagex account to finish stronghold.. and its only VERY recently you even allowed players to create a jagex account for a new character.. player choice is your BIGGEST thing for osrs, but youve removed it.. you promised a fancier reward from the cradle of life, not forcefulier.
