Yup, its time for another whining Iron-cry.
Some reasons for reworking GWD:
1. There is no real boss mechanic to learn
2. To kill the boss efficiently you need to abuse weird kiting methods and methods like "red-x" walk
3. You dont even get BiS items there anymore (excluding Nex) - best example is dhl... its way easier to learn Hydra than those X:0 Zammy methods
General changes
- make boss attack style predictable but only 85% protectable
- give bosses some similar mechanics like raid bosses, so ppl get prepared for raiding!
- boss can command his minions to charge an attack which needs to be interupted by killing them (they shouldnt respawn tho!)
- reduce minions max hits and hp
- anti kite mechanic: If you hit the boss 3 times without him hitting you at least once he battlecries his minions which causes them to deal triple dmg
General Graador
- melee only
- his slam attack would cause rocks fall from above (like Baba)
Kree'arra
- Attacks with mage/range but is protectable like p1 warden projectiles
- spawns tornados which deal small ammount of dmg and stun the player (like banana peel)
- could also spawn a hunleff tornado (one is enough tho!)
K'ril Tsutsaroth
- melee only
- spawns shadow orbs which charge up and drain pray and defence after explosion (can be insta killed with sara strike like vorkaths zombified spawn)
Commander Zilyana
- melee only
- at 50% hp she uses her spec attack to spawn lightning strikes like enraged warden
I only did raids 3 yet, so most ideas are copied from there - sorry
This way ppl would learn to focus on boss mechanics instead of weird kiting mechanics. Average gwd trip (whip/barrows armour) should get you about 5-10 kills with failing and 20 kills without.
MAYBE! there could also get added an invocation system to increase droprates SLIGHTLY!
