Hello, as a player pre 2007 that understood the game well I feel a responsability to speak up.
First of all don't get me wrong as some things in the game get easier but they are good additions for osrs, such as the farming and woodcutting guilds, along with zeah.
I only ask to please keep track of the past and future, as one thing gets added and makes something easier or faster the game is then taken for that, later another thing is added to make that thing easier again (E.G from mining guild, to mlm, to zalcano and volcanic mine and now shooting stars with a buff) Then you take into account of all the small things, yes every penny adds up (E.G better pickaxes, prospectors, celestial signet etc).
Every time the game gets easier and faster, The end achievement is less, Yes I do understand the game needs things to change, It just feel rs2 is becoming ezscape2.
When I look at alot of the update's I may or may not like it personally, but agree it is good for the games growth and long term goals. Although when I see shooting stars pre buff I think thats O.P and just went along with it. Now, after the buff everyone flocks to them easiest afk 99 of your life. I restrain myself from going there just because it's soooo easy to level now, I do see it as osrs's gateway for ezscape2.
It might get shrugged off by many, But if you shrug off one thing, another comes along because it's fine, then another and another.
It's just hard to restrain myself from not saying anything at all while watching the greatest game slip. You could muck around and tinker for so long without the game being completed, a great way to wind down, something other than life thats not going to fade after a small amount of time. Rs3 turned into ez scape and end game content focused, Heres a billion exp for little effort, go do raids... Thats all you get left with. Raid, end, Raid, end, Raid, end.
With a blink of an eye, It's all gone.
