Pitch:
Some minigames, mainly as Barb Assault & GoTR, have the chance to reward pet follower themed around the minigame itself. In regards to Hallowed Sepulchre, it would be neat to see a chance to receive a pet/follower.
The owl that is flying around in the different floors would seem to be a nice candidate for such a prize. Its official name could be the "Ethereal Owl", "Holy Owl", "Wise Owl", which is an obvious representation of Saradomin's being the god associated with wisdom.
Chance of drop could be increased slightly with each advancement with each floor. With the highest chance in that of completing Floor 5 upon exiting via obelisk.
Metamorphic Effect:
Possible metamorphic effect could be obtaining ethereal parts associated a couple other animals associated with Saradomin. That being mainly the
unicorn
and
wolf
, in which, a possible drop from a coffin could reward an "Ethereal Unicorn Horn", or "Ethereal Wolf Tooth". This could be used on the base pet (owl) to transform its spiritual form into one of the two.
Chance of drop could be increased slightly with each advancement floors from looting coffins, with the higher chance being reserved on the Grand Coffin. Chance of obtaining optional metamorphic effect could be null if player hasn't obtained the base pet, which I feel would be better and give further motivation.
Dialog:
Talking to any form of pet (Owl, Unicorn, Wolf) would keep the same dialog. Dialog could be based around Saradomin proverbs.
Example:
"Holy is the one who endureth with discipline, for their victory becomes a matter of time."
- A subtle node to those who uptake the challange to 99 agility.
