Idea is to have different prayer mechanics as an alternative to people who do not prefer to learn and destroy their hands with flicking and being super fast with prayer activation. My Idea also delivers some economic and item consumption ideas in regards to this.
Imagine 3 different categories of "blessings" based on current gods - Zamorak, Saradomin and Guthix.
Mechanics of offerings rather than just activating prayers and having them drain would be - make an offering consisting of using prayer scroll together with an "offering" being either item blessed by given god or category of the item (eg. - Zamorak would be for example weapons) or simply the money gift.
Offering would than provide you temporary bonus bounded/ended by to timeframe (eg. 2 playhours or 2 days in RW), prayer book switch, other offering made, players death or prayer points drained.
Bonus would be randomized, but offering items that are valued by the gods better would help you to receive better bonus.
Offering itself will give you prayer xp and based on god or chosen pray woul lower your prayer points by percentage which for the time of this "blessing" - which kinda limits areas where you can use these or lowers time for which you can use them.
Altars for offerings could be spread around the world.
Zamorak powers could grant you powers like bonus against godly creatures (eg. Blood drainage), using some kind of spell for leftover prayers while holding some prayer icon (eg. crozier) which will have power based on "offering", attack/str bonuses when fighting in the dark etc..
Saradomin powers could have something like damage reduction, temporary option to summon tank creature whíle this hold damage draining leftover prayers, while disappearing afterwards, attack bonuses when you fight on "holy" ground.
Guthix could provide some skill powers and stamina improvements.
