Shouldn't being part of the pride event be something that you choose to do rather than forcing people to choose to give up part of the game if they do not want to be part of it.

It is a proven fact that 88+% of the worlds population is not part of the LGBT+ community. Before I go farther let me say I have no problem with the individual LGBT+ people. I have a god son that is bi. I went out to movies and dinner (non intimate relation) with a woman I found out in causal conversation had the same equipment inside her dress as I had inside my pants. Because it was not something that she made a big deal out of, I had no problem with it. So I am not homophobic. I just choose not to be part of that community. What you do in close doors is your business not mine.

BUT in the game they have now started putting the rainbow in conversation and the only way to hide their blatant "in your face" messages is to totally get rid of part of the game a lot of us enjoy, colored messages and such. I loved to do the scroll cyan message with a bunch of zzzz's when I am bored. But because a tiny percentage of a small percent want to shove it in people faces, I have to give up that fun.

I suggest that the rainbow be something you have to choose (opt in) to see.

I'd support a toggle to hide certain things players don't want to see. This way players can still use the new effects but players who toggled it off will only see regular text, or to toggle on basic colors for certain cosmetics.

I think I should be able use the other commands without having to deal with that one.

its just rainbow colours, if you have no issue with it like you said, whats the problem in seeing it ingame?

you also dont need to be apart of lgtbq to support it. so doesnt matter if you arent apart of the 12% (those are the ones that have felt safe enough to come out btw) you can still show support.

but this type of thread is the 100% reason why pride is important


i dont celebrate xmas or easter. same with many others. are we are the events in game shouting slurs? and being disruptive to the people that do celebrate it? no
are we on forums, on rants saying "this doesnt represent us"? no
are we on forums asking for it to be opt in to see it? no


why? because we arent offended by it, and accept other people have different views than we do.

its good to see people celebrating who they are. that includes people in pride. and people in easter event, etc.

why try and make it into something negative just because you dont celebrate it?

Everyone knows what the rainbow represents and they are using it to prove they are SUPERIOR to everyone else. They can do that behind close doors all they want, but I do not want it shoved in my face.

Just because you dislike this doesnt mean it should be toggleable.

I dont like ppl so with your logic i should be able to toggle them right? Yes, its called the ignore button and it works with individuals and small groups. Unfortunately, its not being used by individuals and small groups. I have had to empty my ignore list twice this month.

I do not care if it is a toggle or "ignore rainbow" button, I just do not want it shoved in my face all the time.
