While many of the content suggestions polled are quite good, there is a distinct lack of trade off and some ridiculously overpowered suggestions that will force the new spellbook as the default PvP set. Lets work down from the top before getting to suggestions.
Dampen
- About as soggy as it sounds, I suppose you're reserving it for balancing
Absorb
- THIS is interesting, it fits with the ruinous powers and is an appropriate caveat to standard protection for increased damage. By default, you will carry less food.
Withstand
- Penalty too narrow, primarily pvp multi debuff.
Deflect
- I would split the ability to deflect into a separate overheard that does not carry a protection feature. Reflecting pre-damage is hax.
Ancient P/S/S/W
- Lower, 15% unless you match drain or unlock level
Trinitas
- I have no objections but it would need equal or lower drain to Eagle Eye + Steel Skin
Decimate
- I expect no less
Annihilate
- Change the name to something more range-y
Vaporise
- I'm completely trusting you the 4% magic bonus is adequate
Gambit
- Ehhh, I don't want to be rushed by people with dice cubes over their heads. 8% is too little for an overhead, encourages rushing and only has utility in short term flicking. I fully expect the drain on this to be 10 points per second if it goes ahead.
Rebuke
- Yes, creative, I like it. This is the true deflect.
Vindication
- Keep redemption and protect item in both books and don't change the names or icons if they're regarded as essential.
