It makes no sense to me that the tool leprechaun can hold up to 100 rakes, 100 spades and 100 seed dibbers but only ONE watering can.

Having more than one watering can is very useful in farming and so I use three. I keep having to leave two in the bank because the leprechaun can only hold one. This isn't a massive problem but it would be so much more useful if he could hold more than one. Therefore I think this restriction needs to be lifted. That is, unless there's some reason for it.

And if there is a reason I'd like it to be explained to me.

Though I also find it odd, watering your plants isn't actually required. Doing so only reduces the chance of the plant getting diseased during the stage of its growth for which it's been watered. Plants can also be watered during every stage of growth, so the water only lasts for a single stage of growth.

If you're aware of that and wish to continue watering, then I suggest you head over to Tithe and grab yourself a Gricoller's Can, which can hold enough water to be used 1,000 times, rather than only 8. And, though there is, or was if they've removed the option since I was last there, an option to pay to "Recharge" it at Tithe, you don't actually ever need to do so. The "Recharge" option at Tithe, if it's still there, simply refills it as if you used it on any ordinary water source like a regular can, making it pointless. Instead, just refill it like you normally would.

With that one can, you can eliminate all other regular watering cans and only need to refill it one time every time you use the equivalent of 125 regular watering cans. That should help while you wait for any response as to why only a single one can be stored with the Leprechaun. Though, I'm also not certain if the reason for the limited storage is specifically because of that Gricoller's Can or not, but I'd imagine if they increased the number, they'd have to make a separate, additional storage specifically for the Gricoller's Can in order to up the number of regular ones.

I also suggest you get yourself an herb sack and seed box from Tithe, since they're helpful during Slayer tasks. Not during Farming runs, though, since you can use your herbs on the Leprechaun to have him note them for you. There's also an option to disable weed growth (Auto-weed), so they don't grow back once raked.

The game can't store multiple watering cans because each watering can has its own information about how much water is stored in it. Watering Can (8) is a different item from Watering Can (7) which is a different item from Watering Can (6), etc.

Making it so the leprechaun would only be able to carry FULL watering cans would actually remove flexibility from the player. Otherwise, it wouldn't be possible to carry multiple watering cans.
Don't forget – RuneScape members get TWO free spins a day instead of the usual one!

You are ignoring the most commonly used function: growing trees. Filled pots with seeds REQUIRE watering before they turn into sapling. Did you think those sapling just magically appeared in the ge? No, someone planted the seed in a filled pot, then watered it from a watering can. You can not use any other method, other than the lunar spell a lot of people do not have.

How then do they store things like rings of forging or bracelets of clay. The answer is they store that data on your avatar. That way even if you sell the ring or bracelet, the next one will have the same usage. The same could be done with the cans. They could block you having more than one partially used can.

In addition, they could have watering source near anywhere that you would need them, although most, if not all, already do.
