1. It trashed up the screen with every player now having 2 characters on screen. This game has always struggle for stability; summoning just adds pixels to screw things up.
2. It change the combat system, so you couldn't just ignore the skill. Quest requirements forced you do do summoning no matter how much you hated buying things to turn into pouches that you didn't want and couldn't sell.
3. Having a summoned creature was a pain. Making them was a pain - and a useless money sink.
4. Dealing with other players' summoned creatures was a bigger pain. You had to learn the abilities they had or they could hurt you.
5. It's main advantage was that you could now sell marigolds. If you want us to use marigolds, come up with something better than that.
