With Leagues 4 set to launch Nov 15, I don't expect there's much time/room to make adjustments, but I'm tossing my two cents into the void anyway.
1. Please enable unlocking additional relics in a tier and/or swapping between relics in a tier.
The freedom and flexibility of relic builds and combos in Leagues 3 was really fun. Going back to the restrictive model of Leagues 1 & 2 isn't particularly exciting. Outside of Leagues 1 & 2, RS has never been about making decisions that lock out content / build / playstyle options, and I really enjoyed how Leagues 3 was more in keeping with the base game in this regard (even if managing relics was a nightmare). Going back to making one-off, unmodifiable decisions about whether to focus on "gathering OR production", "melee OR ranged OR magic" feels like a step backwards. ("Just make multiple accounts" is not agreeable.)
If additional bonus relic unlocks could be obtained at certain task/point thresholds, with the ability to swap between relics in a tier, that could be one avenue of balancing the Leagues 2 vs Leagues 3 structures and could be a fun boost to the mode.
2. Please bring back boosted drop rates of clue uniques.
Leagues 1 and 3 both had relics that synergized well with prayer items obtainable from clue rewards, but even after 300+ clues in both leagues I was unable to get the items to achieve these synergies, which left clues (and certain relic choices) feeling like a big waste of time.
According to the
Wiki
, unique drops from clue scrolls were boosted by Leagues 2's passive drop rate bonuses, in addition to the boosted clue scroll drop rate of the dedicated relic. Unfortunately, clues were a little rough with Leagues 2 region locks (fixed for Leagues 4). It doesn't look like the passive clue uniques bonus carried forward into Leagues 3, but I hope it makes a return for Leagues 4.
According to the updated
Leagues 4 wiki page
, clue uniques
will
again be affected by the passive drop rate boost. Nice!
No word yet on any structure for unlocking additional relics / swapping relic selections. Don't exactly have high hopes there since it's potentially a lot of effort if it wasn't already in-work, but fingers crossed nonetheless.
