Hey all,

I have been playing runescape on and off since 2001.
Sadly nowadays i dont have that much time anymore to play osrs, but i still do.
Since i dont have that much time and play irregular i dont wanna waste a bond and only get to play a couple of days on it.
So i remain F2P.., but..., servers have proven to be a bit laggy from time to time, so i wonder if the ring of life could be F2P, so obor, bryo and ogresses become a bit more safe for my HCIM in case of lag.

I think cause its a diamond ring it could fit into F2P the same as the ring of forging...

Hope to hear your opinions.

F2P definitely deserves care that would benefit the players- allows enchanted rings such as the Ring of Life would be a great addition for F2P players. F2P already has access to amulets of power, strength, etc - so why not rings?

I support adding emerald, sapphire, ruby, and diamond enchanted rings, it just makes sense at this point. Paul Gower, one of the founding fathers of the game, once said that f2p would get few and rare updates. I can not see them adding rings of life to f2p UNLESS they added a new ring to p2p.

Any suggestion on what that might be. It would need to be linked to the ring of life in some manner.

edit: it might be the kind of thing where we get an upgraded ring of life version, such as being able to predetermine where we returned to. For instance, we might tell it to take us to Edgeville instead of our spawn location.

Times have certainly changed- F2P needs updates to maintain the longevity of this game, a huge part of that is enticing new players. I disagree that there would need to be a replacement in P2P if the RoL (and others for that matter) were to become accessible to F2P players.

Then what would be the incentive to become members? Thats why the vast majority of things are p2p and not f2p. The smaller percentage of things that are p2p, the less people have to become p2p. It does little good to bring in more f2p players if they never become members.

The incentive to become a member is still there between content, skills, quests- the OP is only asking to add one item that should have been f2p in the first place, which I support as well as adding enchanted rings below dragonstone.
