Cats of the past is a short miniquest that serves as a spin-off from other cat series quests.

* A Tail of Two Cats
* Icthlarin's Little Helper
* Gertrude's Cat
* 53 Thieving (not boostable)
* 50 Magic (not boostable)
* 50 Firemaking (boostable)
* 10 Slayer (not boostable) or the gas mask from Plague City
Details: The Sphinx in Sophanem has lost
a favorite toy. It’s most likely been stolen by a cat. Maybe it’s ended up in one of the areas you’ve recently adventured?
Search cat holes around cities in the desert to find the Sphinx’s lost toy.
Start point:
Speak to the Sphinx in Sophanem.
Rewards:
Sphinx toy (similar to mouse toy)
Ghostly cat collar (turns cat into ghostly cat)
Ability to use ghostly cat to hunt ghostly rats outside the ancient vault in the Kharidian Desert for a chance to receive a ghostly book cover. (Requires starting Desert Treasure 2) (ghostly book cover can change book of darkness into ghostly book)
