? Are mounts in OSRS too complicated to implement ?

Well... now with beastiary, YOU ARE THE MOUNT!
With the ability to transform into beasts that EACH has unique characteristics of their own!

TRAVEL BEASTS

-- Transform into a Beast specifically meant for everyday travel.

NO MORE constantly having to worry about your RUN ENERGY depleting!!

TRAVEL-specific BEASTS have no effect on your run energy AT ALL .
Full graceful outfit's effects will still work as usual, while NOT in beast form.
TRAVEL BEASTS can work anywhere on Gleinor's surface,

...but you have transform back into a human to engage in combat or to
interact with anything.

If attacked while transformed into a TRAVEL BEAST ,
you are simply reverted back into your human form.

COMBAT BEASTS

-- Transform into a Beast specifically for Combat, to be used only in Beastiary-designated combat areas.

COMBAT BEASTS will have some unique combat abilities.

Training combat while transformed as a COMBAT BEAST will gain you experience as that specific beast, unlocking further combat abilities that will make you stronger or allow for more DPS

The mobs/NPCs in Beasiary-designated Combat Zones will be LARGER THAN LIFE, some of the largest creatures we've encountered in osrs, proportional to the sizes of beasts we will be able to transform into

99 Beastiary, for example, will allow you to transform into Jad or a jad-like COMBAT BEAST of similar strength and size

USEFUL BEASTS

Remember the Pokemon games and using HM-moves from
certain Pokemon for certain uses?

Such as:

Navigating Rivers/Lakes;
Removing or moving Boulders/Obstructions;
Accessing previously inaccessible areas of the game;
Traveling between different locations quickly;
etc.

-- USEFUL BEASTS you can transform into, to make use of their unique and USEFUL characteristics.

WATER BEASTS

Become a WATER BEAST to swim across a river or lake in Gleinor, something the Agility shortcuts try to provide to us,

BUT NOW add an element of discovery!
And...

NO LONGER require the use of a grapple!

a WATER BEAST would actually make a somewhat decent or satisfactory replacement for the "Sailing Skill",
in that you can experience sailing to some degree in the form of a WATER BEAST while traversing certain bodies of water.

MUCH of the OSRS Map is filled with water !!!
How about making more use of these watery areas?

What if OSRS adds various 'Waterway Passages' throughout Gleinor's oceans,
only traversable while transformed as a WATER BEAST ?

Perhaps there are Sunken Ships that can be explored this way for their Treasure?
or far-off Mysterious Islands (or Uncharted Islands)?

DEEP-WATER BEASTS

What about Deep-water fishing spots?
Perhaps even a Deep-water Underwater city or town inhabited by DEEP-WATER BEASTS ,
which are unlocked at a certain level of Beastiary?

What if we could ultimately transform into a beast to use during diving situations, without the need for a diving apparatus?

? How would you go about training the Beastiary Skill ?

TRAINING BEASTIARY

-- Each new BEAST ZONE gives you the opportunity to learn more about that Beast Species.

Its customs,
its lore,
its behaviors,
how it came to be,
its culinary habits,
its cultural characteristics,
its religion and its worshiped deities,
the beasts' habits, whims, and instincts,
etc.

-- BEAST ZONES are Areas where a particular Beast inhabit or dwell or have their own civilization/society/city

-- Each BEAST ZONE you enter depends on having the required Beastiary Lvl to enter.

Each new BEAST ZONE you enter, within that Zone your player is automatically transformed into that respective beast,
with the help of, say, a Wizard,
such as the Makeover Mage.

Upon entering a new BEAST ZONE , being a new Face 'in town', you will obviously
be greeted with suspicion
by the inhabitants.

Each time, You will have to introduce yourself to the inhabitants with the whimsical front,


" Hi there,
I just woke up from a deep sleep
and I seem to have amnesia, I can't remember
who I am or what I am,
can you help me? "


Training the Beastiary Skill in these BEAST ZONES can be as Varied and as Expansive as the game developers' imaginations.

FOR EXAMPLE:

...You've now unlocked the Troll BEAST ZONE .

...You have transformed into a troll and now have a pretty severe case of amnesia (WAY MORE than what is typical of a Troll)

...If the Troll Beast is decided to be a COMBAT BEAST ,
then 1 way to raise your Beastiary Skill within the Troll Zone
would be to fight off,
AS A TROLL USING TROLL COMBAT MOVES,
Hordes of Humans
or
NPC 'Adventurers' or 'Noobs',
who are all in a human 'Clan'.

...etc.
