no one is forcing anyone to take part in pride in rs.

you take part in it as a choice, if you dont want to use rainbow colour chat, then dont its really that simple. you arent partaking in it if you arent using the chat,

if i had a rainbow flag out my window and you saw it, does that mean you are now partaking in pride because you saw the flag? no it means you saw someone taking part in it.

but you being active in a thread about pride is taking part in it, and this is how you decide to act in it. all you are doing here is the same as going to a party, that you didnt have to attend, and tell everyone to stop having fun, thats what you are doing here. thats how you are participating.

now stop with the derailing and negativity on a thread thats for pride.

Jagex are forcing No One to take part in an event in game. You have the option to turn it off or just ignore it and play your own game.

There's so much to unpack here.

First of all I applaud Jagex for allowing members of the LGBTQ+ community to feel involved in some way even if it's something as benign as a different colour chat text (which btw is a pain to type). The fun thing about this is that everyone regardless of identity has the option to partake in a bit of colourful, fun chats.

Secondly, for the guy who said "Why would their rights be more than mine?", I think you meant to say "Why would their rights be the same as mine?". Well I'm afraid your mindset is about 8 decades behind. We live in a time where people are viewed the same regardless of race, religion or sexual orientation. We need to get out of the mindset of "others" and just learn to accept that some people are different and that's what makes the human race the human race. If everyone was the same then our lives would be the most boring existence there was. As a straight person, I love that I can be surrounded by people that are have different cultures (especially the food), different races, different sexual orientations etc. I'm basically saying to just relax and enjoy life and stop hating others just because they think a little different from you.
