Nex ice prison attack question

When Nex is in the ice phase and does the ice prison attack, is it possible for the person that gets trapped to break themself out, or does that person have to rely on other people to break the ice for them? I know how to break the ice for other people, just unsure if its possible to break yourself out or not.
