I come here through this topic to ask jagex to please open a brazilian server on osrs, there is a small brazilian community that plays osrs, but it exists, it has been a very sad experience lately, i moved to the south of brazil, and ping gets to be 180/200, there are Brazilian servers on rs3, I don't see any difficulty in putting 2 or 3 Brazilian servers on osrs, PLEASE JAGEX MAKES US HAPPY.
As a Brazilian, I would be happy to see at least one or two servers with the flag of our country, after all, we are not the biggest community, but we are not the smallest either. It would be really cool! However, in relation to Jagex investing in physical servers to reduce ping I think it is financially unfeasible and I don't expect that to happen.

It is OSRS. They spend most of their money sponsoring content creators.
Money is even tighter now as Jagex has probably spent well over $100 mil to acquire Pipeworks.
Even if they still have spare money, I'll rather want to see them spending it on Jmods who deserve better compensations so they won't go elsewhere.
When we see the OSRS team trying to introduce Mod Sova in today's livestream as a "new" OSRS Jmod, only that Mod Sova himself promptly clarified he is actually not new (he joined the OSRS team 15 months ago), we know OSRS doesn't care to spend much on their Jmods. The irony is money is spent on sponsoring streamers, perhaps not much left on new servers elsewhere.
