I logged in today, it's been a few years, and my character is not there. Instead, I was presented with a default character creator on tutorial island. I recall being level 97 with cooking skill of 93, etc.

My username was also changed from azzi77 to aeazzi77.

I then upgraded to a Jagex Account, thinking it would recover my original account but it did not. I still have all my membership receipts(transaction id) saved and can provide them assist in the proper account recovery.

Endless hours were spent playing back in the day, and I do not wish for it all to have gone to waist.

osrs came out in 2013

runescape 3 is the continuation of the game that came out over 20 years ago

Tenebri is correct. If you had an account prior to February 2013 , then that account and its progress would be in RuneScape 3. If the account that you are referring to was created after February 2013, then it may or may not have an Old School RuneScape profile. In any case, to learn more about that, you may visit the links below:
