You're a clan warrer aren't you? Just curious but why does literally 95% of warrers use mage? I did some number crunching and might be able to guess why but it'd be nice to know for sure :P .

Mages can freeze and stop meleers.

They're also handy for catching barrage piles (where two or more people are in the same 9x9 sq) since it can cause a lot of damage quickly.

Also magic is pretty accurate, even on armadyl.

How dangerous is melee though? I notice a few people just swoop in for an AGS spec but other than that... no one brings melee.

Magic is definitely accurate, that's true. When playing CW I find it impossible to tank mages no matter what I'm wearing, so I just wear barrows gear and pray mage.

Anyway, can't say I'm happy to know this lol. It's frustrating that the combat triangles are reversed for PvP and PvM because then the community is split on which cb style needs priority.
In PvP, Magic > Range > Melee
In PvM, Melee > Range > Magic
