Hello all !

Recently I have returned to the world of RuneScape, or as we now call it OSRS . I have enjoyed playing these last few months and it does take me right back to a childhood joy .

I would like to talk about few things that I have noticed since my return .

• The game holds true to the original iconic feel of the early 2000’s RuneScape that I once loved so much.

• Leveling over 70 is still such a chore, hopefully I make it further than I did as a kid as I would like to participate in more end game content .

• There is an insane amount of bots and scammers . Don’t get me wrong there are lots of genuine generous people and if it had not been for one of the good people I would probably not have purchased a membership again. With that being said ( my own wrong doing ) I was scammed for over 13M last night from a guy who has always been helpful. He took advantage of me and that pretty disappointing considering I thought he was one of the good ones .

• OSRS needs more interaction from Player Moderators, I think this influence could promote the game in multiple beneficial aspects. Examples would be providing support to those who may be struggling with a task , putting a stop to some of the scams as those people would have more authority present , and just a general feel of better support from Jagex .

• Drop parties hosted on skill level minimum worlds are much more beneficial as it filters out those level 3 bots/ script users .

• I would like to see the veterans items be brought to the OSRS platform because I think that’s where it all started for alot of us .

1. it sure does.

2. there are many new ways to do this, you can do it!

3. there are mod sween has recently talked about it on stream, they ban 200k a month.

4. why pmods? p mods are just players not obliged to do anything. they are not rule enforcers to stop scammers. read this https://runescape.wiki/w/Player_Moderator , hopefully give a better understanding on what pmods are and the fact they are just players.

5. it would also stop new players getting to them.

Thanks for your reply Tenebri,

On the P-mods , I feel like having that emblem present amongst a crowd would be beneficial, I could be wrong and will look into this as I didn’t know the details you provided .

I didn’t even really consider a new player not being eligible, but from the drop parties I have attended there are always a ton of bots standing at the chest and once an item of value is dropped in they seem to be activated . I could be wrong on this as I’m going off other players word , again I will make sure my thoughts are valid .

The veteran capes and hoods are the only items I’ve saw in RS3 that I would like added to OSRS. If there are other items I will check those out as well .

I’m relearning the game and enjoying it along the way and really appreciate your responses .

Absolutely in OSRS! Bots are out of our control and we will have to wait for Mod Sween but I won't count on anything TBH. As for scammers, I found it hard to be scammed if you don't trade with anybody you don't know, don't click any links and don't step into Wildy no matter what.

Yes, some people will offer something for free, although not many. The sad thing is players who have been playing OSRS for many months still can't get enough gp to buy a bond in OSRS. OSRS Bonds have gone up a lot over the recent months but free players and low level members are only getting less and less income. This economy is deeply discouraging... but yet I found one of the very few still viable money making method for low level players is scavenging... if you don't mind going to popular combat places and pick up the garbage players left on the ground.

Whoever appear to be someone you knew for a lot time may not be exactly the same person now, as from my experience many of my old "friends" are now different people or they are sharing accounts with somebody else too. So beware!

I don't think OSRS Jmods promote the game. Some may be willing to help you with a few gp and lowbie items but they aren't really helping players with playing the game. I think most pmods just get their status to mute whoever they don't like. So no to more pmods.

No. Drop parties are for social interaction, and not for what is inside the chest.

Theres a truckload of scammers yeah its pretty pathetic, if you buy chance got a name of that person who ripped you off of 13m and i believe a screenshot you can send it to runewatch i think its called, they track scammers so clans can do a background check on players basically to see if their going to "borrow" someones tbow and never give it back, pretty bad people are so pathetic to steal on such a dead game.

Me personally i talk to no one and i trust no one, i give no one anything unless i straight up dont care, ive given away a whip before cause i no longer needed it buy beyond that dont ask me to "borrow" anything im going to come @ u.
