there are millions of players, people move all the time, jagex know this, is there a chance you can get banned? an incredibly slim one yes.

if you log in lets say UK, then 5 minutes later log in AUS, then that can trigger the lock account as thats impossible if it was you.

if there is a 20 hour difference, then most likely you have moved.


to get "banned" is i think a bad choice of words as its not really being banned, its just lock as a security feature for suspicious activity, but as stated moving is a very normal occurrence so its not suspicious overall

A lot of players use VPN nowadays even if they don't move to other countries. I don't think many get banned just because of locations. Those who get banned are probably banned for RWT issues, or Jagex noticed other abnormal in game behaviors that they want to take precautionary actions to protect the account owners.

Although I don't think players get banned directly from moving to different locations often, I think indirectly they may still be bothered by the Authentication CAPTCHA system. If you log in from too may different locations, you may be caught in an infinite loop to "prove you are not a robot" in many games. It is a pain in the neck to have to clear cache and reset your router often.
