Having just gotten my quest cape on OSRS I will now list the 5 hardest quests.

5. Desert Treasure - This is one long chore, alot of running around required, killing tough ish bosses, the pyramid at the end SUX the lockpicking the chest SUX and just getting all the diamonds SUX.

4. Ratcatchers - F@!#$ this quest. Hard only because of the nearly impossible stealth section, seriously though F*@# this quest!

3. Monkey Madness 2 - Not too terrible but the stealth part on the ship was unfun. Two thumbs down, the cave thing with a million traps / falls was annoying too took me like a hour.

2. Dragon Slayer 2 - An actually HARD quest and not just because its a long chore or pain in the ass. Robert the strong was hard. The dragon gauntlet where your jumping across the planks from boat to boat while taking fail damage from obstacles and dragonfire damage, was hard. Fighting the dragons in the gauntlet was hard. Fighting the final boss was hard, took me like 9 tries, mainly cause of 1 shotting attacks. What a well done quest, more quests need to take after this one.

1. Underground Pass - Change my mind. No banking, 1 invy that's all you get, you better choose those items wisely like 12 things are REQUIRED for this quest so you gotta pick and choose what other stuff you're going to take. Food, energy pots, Coins? Chose wisely son, because if you F**# up your going back TO THE BEGINNING you gotta redo the whole damn pass. Its tough, idc what you say. The agility part at the end is the roughest. I literally had to take the longest route possible to get to the final chest because i failed the short route 100% of the time. With 65ish agility and summer pie boost. What nonsense, i honestly think it is bugged.

Thats all, some others are annoying but not like these. These are hard.

I'm not gonna disagree since it's all subjective (and im no where near quest cape).

I am surprised Mournings End 2 isn't in there as many people seem to complain about that one.

I actually enjoyed desert treasure and the underground pass, I found them fairly easy even at barely med level but I guess that's partly because for me the lore is iconic with them and so I do try to engage with the storyline a lot.

Mournings End 2 is not that bad. Theres one obstacle you have to go over twice in the quest you will probably fail 20 times, other than that its just a slow process since you will run out of run energy from all the crystals you have to place. A tip IDK if it works or if its luck but i had 100% run when doing the agility obstacle and i didnt fail, with 50% and even 80% run i failed every time i tried. (I also had 75 agility you stop failing at 91 i think.)

Song of the elves, has a library part very similar to ME2 idk why jagex thought it would be fun to add the exact same part that everyone hates to a new quest.

desert treasure is very easy now. i did it on my low level ironman,

ratcatchers - its annoying but not difficult

mm2 - yeah the docks part was annoying.

ds2 - i found this quest hopeful, in the terms that a quest boss actually had proper mechanics. its good to see.

underground pass - how is this difficult? maybe back when it first came out, but this isnt anywhere near a difficult quest. how is it difficult ? even with out a guide which is how i first did it back in the day its pretty much all laid out for you on what to do.

this is my opinion on your list anyway.

id agree that mm2 / ds2 is on the list for most difficult. but other 3 definitely not

Ah, yes. Underground pass. An all-time favourite of mine. This quest was very challenging for my 15-year-old self all those years ago. I recently completed this quest for the second time equipped with the knowledge that agility is everything in this quest (that last room.. *shakes fist*). The best thing about this quest is the storyline and creepy atmosphere as you explore the caverns. It's so unsettling and unnerving and you can't help but feel like you're being watched. You feel as though the more time you spend in there, the more insane and twisted you become as Iban tries to mess with your head. Brilliant quest with a brilliant soundtrack too.

As for Desert Treasure, I still remember this being released and it being a huge achievement to complete. This quest still remains as challenging as it was back then and it's a huge relief to get this one checked off the list.

So many quests in Runescape but these two are easily the most memorable for me!
