To keep this brief, I had a general question concerning an interaction I had about 20 minutes ago with the MOM. I was Firemaking at the GE when I received the MOM random event. Personally, I typically do randoms just because. When I clicked on the MOM to interact with him all he said was "Goodbye." then he disappeared without teleporting me to the maze or mime or giving me an item. After close to 20 years of playing this game across multiple accounts I've never heard of this occurrence and I cannot find anything on it when googled. Did I perhaps misclick and dismiss him? Can anyone shed some light on this interaction?

IF you do not see him soon enough, you can click on him just as he is leaving. At that time, he will say "goodbye". Same happens if you go into a bank area and come out to talk to him.
