I figured out sound for the flatpak. After a couple searches.
export PULSE_SERVER=unix:/tmp/pulse-PKdhtXMmr18n/native; flatpak run com.jagex.RuneScape
And it goes to my snap setup. Where audio uses the snd-aloop (ALSA Loopback) card. Even though $HOME/.config/pulse/client.conf points at the networked pulse server. And another user uses alsaloop to route that to the networked pulseaudio server. The loopback device makes it's output the same as it's input. Useful for exotic setups like this, or recording, alternate sound routing and whatnot.
Glad I wasn't trying to squeeze in a game before work yesterday when the snap likely broke. Now that the flatpak works (AGAIN). I guess I can get my other installs to a gaming state as the snap has been unavailable to NEW installs for quite a while. And the unsnap route created a flatpak, but with stability akin to playing on windows or wine.
