OSRS has gone to 2 Game Jam sessions in 2022, and come out with a lot of projects.

However, a year later now in March 2023, only very few of them have been released.

For instance, only Mod Ed's short Twisted Quest "Garden of Death" was released and Mod Squid's Woodcutting updates is said to come out in May.

Anybody knows what happened to all those Wilderness Expansion, The Tasakaal Trials, Dog followers, Player Owned Farm, Trading Card Game, Gnome Ball Manager, Piscoris Fishing Colony, Hiscores updates etc?

BTW, this week Jagex is seemingly hosting this year's Game Jam again. Any news about OSRS Game Jam 2023 projects?

I'm sure we'll find out soon enough, I'm keen to here what became of those game jam projects you just mentioned :)

Still not seeing any of them, at OSRS is doing yet another GameJam now. Really weird.

Do you think they will just sweep all the GameJam 2022 idea under the rug and propose new ones? Or they just present all the old ones as "new"?

It's worth noting that Jagex has been pretty open about the fact that Game Jam ideas are purely a brainstorming session to allow some creative flexing and that there is no guarantee for anything to make it in game.

I'd also add that this year has a packed schedule as far as updates are concerned so I'd imagine a lot of stuff from game jams won't happen immediately.

The question remains what happened to all the past Game Jam ideas? Are they, including OSRS's Principal Content Developer and Temporary Product Manager Mod Ash's ideas, are all no good?

If so, then we shouldn't expect anything to materialize from the 3rd OSRS Game Jam either.

OSRS has released the 2023 Game Jam proposals:

https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/April_2023_Game_Jam

They didn't mention anything about the 90% of the unreleased Game Jams 2022 projects though.

Anyway, I think some of the 2023 Game Jam projects have much higher chance of being released because they are just copying old content from RS2/RS3 and recycling removed content.

I am pretty sure we will see the old Temple of Senntisten and The Path of Glouphrie quests in OSRS. So will we see the Resting/Musician. These things should be straightforward copying of codes from RS2/RS3.

Reinstating Slayer grouping should be easy too. Maybe they will vote it so it is up to the players to see if they want it.

Adding information of animal NPC should be really easy and doesn't require much coding. We probably will see it, and I don't think anybody will be against it.
