The word ruins is completely subjective. What ruins something for one person could be the perfect finishing touch for someone else. One person's trash is another person's treasure, etc.
Anyway I think that there would be a lot of people who would like to use the hairstyles from the beach without the cones in their other outfits because the cone just looks silly. Sure it's what the hairstyle is supposed to be, like ice cream is spilled on your head, but the hair itself looks great and it would be nice if we weren't forced to pretend that we are slobs who spill dessert on our head just to make use of the fine work of whichever graphic artist made that hairstyle.
Make it a SGS puchase, I don't care, but having it without the cone would be a great thing.
