No support.

Event rewards should never be added to sgs as that would ruin the point in getting them from their respective events

You had a full month to get this and you chose not to, thus you miss out.

It's not always a 'choice', you know, Draco.

There are more reasons that people don't play games than just 'I chose not to'.

A month is a long time but if you had no idea that you were 'missing out' on something, then why would you log in.

If you were taking a break from the game it's pretty unlikely you'd go and check the website even once a month to make sure you aren't missing out on any cool cosmetics.

Taking breaks is healthy.

Considering the outfit is literally just Jagex celebrating their game's 20th birthday I see zero problem with them making it available via some means. Maybe a miniquest or something would be more appropriate than SGS, idk.

I see people use the cape now and then.

But it's not like the outfit is OH SO exclusive that people would get mad if other people could use it too. Not to mention, that whole mentality is a tad entitled anyway. It's a game, for fun. When people feel like they are being robbed or vandalized it is going a bit out of hand.

All things in moderation and all things in their proper context. This specific outfit, I think, is a fine proposal for re-release.

Doesnt matter.

Why is there this pick and choosing of what does/doesnt get rereleased?

I say if this were to get added, they should add every other holiday event outfit to sgs as that only makes sense.

So unless you can agree to that i dont see this happening.

Even if you do, i dont see the community at large agreeing as that^ has been tried at least twice in the past and both have failed.

It would be good if cosmetic event rewards / items without value could be 'earned' in some way.

Would be helpful for returning players, brand new players or those that simply couldn't play due to real life commitments.

'Earning' them, rather than getting free (or being able to easily buy) sits a bit better.
There could be time limited windows each year to do this. e.g. If you missed an anniversary item, perhaps next year during the same time period you could complete an existing ingame activity (so that new content does not need to be released) to access an historic reward.

Activities could be to earn a certain amount of XP or complete x number of Daily Challenges in the week / month.

Why should event rewards be rereleased after their events?

If you chose to not do the events for w/e reason, then you choose to deal without.

Ive missed plenty of holiday and other events yet you dont hear me asking for their rewards to be rereleased.

Why cant ppl deal without cosmetics that dont benefit you in any way?

If it bothers ppl that much maybe they shouldve thought twice before taking a break.

As for new players, well sadly not everyone can always have everything they want in life.

Otherwise id have every cosmetic ive ever wanted.

I mean Draco let's be honest, you're just being a party pooper here.

The suggestion of earning Halloween cosmetics at Halloween (etc) is a very good suggestion.

This is a game. If someone wants an item, there isn't any real world limitation reason why they shouldn't be able to get it. It's not like someone wanting a mint condition 1970 Corvette. New items can quite literally be spawned out of thin air, as shown with the Beach Party and the rerelease of the old tokens for oddments.

If party hats were just handed out like candy this would have a substantial negative effect on a niche part of the economy and would probably result in a fair amount of quitting. (though maybe that would be a good thing, who's to say)

But these untradable cosmetics which are just forever exclusive and which most of the time sit in Diango and never see the light of day, it is quite silly to grandstand those who didn't get them when they were released.

It's twice as ridiculous to say, 'well it's your fault for just starting playing in 2021 and seeing an outfit from 2009 which you really like. you should have chosen to play back then if you wanted it. It doesn't matter that you never heard of the game until now, that's your fault.'

Regardless of whether the person is new or was taking a break it's just a bad argument to say they 'chose' not to get it because they didn't play when it was released.

I agree, on one hand what makes a non-tradeable cosmetic more unique is the time-limited aspect. e.g. I think my Easter Carrot from 2009 is cool and being 12 years old, not everyone would have it.

However, since it has no tangible value, I wouldn't mind if it was re-released or made accessible again. I rarely take mine from the bank / Diango and I would say the Carrot is one of the more interesting non-tradeable rewards.

People may want these items for completion's sake?
More recent events have led to item tokens, which makes rewards still accessible in the future (if you can afford it).

Plus, just the fun element -

Flipping this around, if they have no benefits, why not just give access to the cosmetics? They have no bearing on the game after all.
Making them 'earnable' through challenges on an annual basis (as per previous idea), will retain some exclusivity and only the most interested would go after these.
