I wasn't sure if this belonged in the SGS forum or in a feedback forum, so please feel free to move this if it's in the wrong forum. I didn't post this in Rants because I consider it to have constructive criticism rather than just a rant about something I dislike.

Ok, why is it that lately, male versions of cosmetic outfits always look horrible but yet the female versions look really awesome? Examples such as the Crystal Peacock outfit: it looks good on women and the male version would look really good too except for the pants which look really feminine. Fast forward to the Valentine's Day outfit, the "Amare Outfit". Aside from the preview image having a disturbing lack of antialiasing, I saw the male version and thought, "Seriously?"

Again, the female version looks good, it's quite angelic. But the male version... it looks like something out of Magic Mike. I get that the intention was to make it look somewhat cupid-like, but it looks more like a male stripper outfit than a cupid.

Why is it that these outfits, at least lately, have been designed to make the women look awesome but the men look feminine or like strippers? Why can't both look amazing? I'm not trying to sound like a jerk but it really feels like the male versions are intentionally made to look bad. I hate criticising stuff like this because it's non-essential to my game and some designer at the company put some work into it but can we not make both the male and female versions of these kinds of outfits look equally good?

I would have liked to have seen the male version give off more of an angelic warrior vibe like the female version did. The female version has lots of gold and white robing that makes it look quite glorious and bright but the male version is so minimalist which is why I feel it looks more like a male stripper's outfit than a cupid.

Basically, TL;DR - The male versions of outfits lately have been crappy. Can't we make both the male and female versions of cosmetics look equally good?

Ironic how a couple of years ago people were complaining about female outfits looking too exposed and how male outfits were getting all of the detail and looks the female outfits were lacking.

@GrandpaHawk- Yeah, exactly. Like I said, I get that they were going for a cupid look but it looks less like cupid, more like a gimmicky stripper outfit. :P

@Alexandreana- The point? The point to make it look cupid-like? Again, it looks nothing like cupid. And as for the female version, it strongly resembles Greek and Roman female outfits. I'm not sure how that's "potato sack"... it's about time there's an actual modest female outfit in the modern game.

@Bandosian- I just want them both to look equally good. There's no reason to make them too revealing for the female characters but there's also no reason to make the male versions look feminine or overly silly.

Its a potato sack because the in-game execution of it is atrocious and completely lacks elegance, the concept is sound however.
About time? Your joking right? The vast majority of outfits and armors ever released in this game have by definition been "modest". Ultra sexy/skimpy outfits are the exception, not the rule, in this game.
O_o :P :@ :O

@Alexandreana- I don't see how it is lacking of elegance in any way. Again, it resembles a shorter version of the outfits of noble Greek and Roman women.

Take a look at the female outfits released post EoC. Almost all of them are trying to be more skimpy. Nevertheless, that's a debate for another thread. The point is that the male version looks horrendous.

@Krystelle- Yes, but I think we can all agree that the male version looks utterly ridiculous. :P

@Lizzy- Yeah, it was clearly an afterthought when they realized they had the Zodiac GrindScape event but nothing for Valentine's Day.

I agree that the male outfit looks like generic stripper outfit. Really fitting for Valentines, not much use for it outside the holiday, though... But at least you get cute lil' wings.

Female outfit could use some fine tuning (potato sack comment had me smiling <3). We had ancient greek/roman aesthetic outfits in game before, Gielinor Games athlete and Colosseum comes to mind... and, well, just compare them to what we got. I just wish there would be some way to re-obtain athlete again... Is it really so difficult to make a simple, nice looking skirt, Jagex? No hanging tunics or strips, please ? I get there's that one from gothic outfit, but would you mind making one that's re-colorable?

Why haven't they given females wings as well, though? Small wings are a cute vanity accessory - and no aura required for this one. Why another cape... I'm not going to change my constitution skillcape for this.
