Well the significance is ruined. Like lets say someone was happy about their holiday items collection. And half of it got rereleased. Although they still have some holiday items that remain intact, the whole rerelease thing ruins the whole value factor for all the holiday items he has, which he once valued.

You do realize that you're kinda talking about me there? I have a collection of certain discontinued things, some of which have been re-released, and some which haven't been. And do you know what I feel like about it? The things that have been re-released, feel disappointing after the re-release, although salvageable if they ceased to be reintroduced; and the things that haven't been re-released, feel just as good as the day I got them, if not better now that they've remained intact when some others haven't.

So no, "significance" hasn't been ruined for the things that have remained discontinued. > )
Yes, but the overall faith is gone. You can't value your items as much now as there's a threat that those will also have a 'possibility' of returning.

You might not have faith, but I do, because I'm not giving up. As such, I can and do value those items which haven't been re-released, just as highly as the day I got them. > )

And what makes you have faith then? I mean you claim the actions of Jagex are a "mistake" and wrong for rereleasing this or going against their words, and even with constant upset players such as yourself and myself, Jagex do not care so what makes you think that will change? This is like the what 79th or so Jagex have rereeleased an item that was "not meant to".

As long as there are discontinued items left to protect, I'll have faith, yes. It's never too late to stop while such items remain, as something could happen, such as Jagex making a mistake that wakes up enough people into realizing that they're being exploited for their money. > )

Then perhaps protect the items that are more discontinued. Rereleasing mtx items is a growing trend as of now, so don't expect less players wanting mtx items back that they want.

Protecting both gives better protection for non-mtx items too; the more resistance Jagex faces, the less likely it is to even reach non-mtx items. > )

Yes i agree, but with the shift of rereleasing mtx items, be prepared for an army of users who want this or that item to be rereleased. Given, they've done it for the most part i don't mind if they rerelease the ones that they haven't.

Hmm, either way, it'll be the same as always; reasonable people can be negotiated with, while unreasonable people are what they are, unless they can learn to compromise. > )
