Oh, don't get me wrong. There are a few threads out there filled to the brim with players who want retro gear. I personally would love a retro hard leather body and leaf-bladed sword.
But AFAIK, people get Retro gear, use it for a bit, and then never touch it again once the nostalgia wears off. This makes it seem like wasted development time.
Tbh they shouldn't care for how long a product is used for once the player has paid for it.
It's the same way they feel about holiday events. Time in creation has to reflect how often that content will be used. Why would you spend two weeks making something your 60,000 players would play or use once every three months for two hours at a time?
Aye sorry for my late response on this, not watching the thread.
Making content and making Solomon's items isn't the exact same tho. Making content doesn't really give Jagex any more money whether player play it or not, therefore it might feel as a waste in that case. But as MTX items are a one-time payment, you're paying to have them, so they're getting their money anyway, whether you use the items or not.
Retro Dragon Claws Overrides
i mean one way or another i think the rune god armour was a big part of the game and should be an retro set in the costmetics or even added to the rune trim set if you already have it if not you can but the rune trim/god set. Also along with dragon claw, people loved them. You cant have dragon set without the weapons even dragon med helm!
support because why not. but like was stated many people are past most of the throwbacks I think, and therefore demand may not be too high. But regardles, you still have my support.
I think the retro dragon weapons would be more in demand (especially the older d claws and the longsword, scimmy and 2h I used to love the designs of)
Support, the rune sets could probably be added to the existing trimmed overrides and the gilded could be added to the normal retro armor as a color option

Would you rather sell 1 outfit 50,000 times or 3 outfits 20,000 times each?
EDIT: Demand for Retro items aside, the MTX has a calendar just like any other team I betcha. They've got their plates full.
