Just a suggestion regarding the walk/idle animations...

I'm not a big fan of the really over the top ones which keep getting released, and wondered if more subtle animations could be added some of which used by NPC's already in game.

E.g. if you pop to the furnace/potters wheel area in Burthorpe the
Crafting
&
Mining
tutors have really cool & idle animations.

The Crafter is holding his gemstone and inspecting it while the Miner is holding his pickaxe over his shoulder and bringing it forward to inspect.

I feel that these would really give our characters some personality without being overly intrusive like some of the other walks/animations are
I'm looking at you revenant walk!

My problem with most of the walks that have been released is that they are really intrusive to the theme of the game, and just don't fit.

Similar idle animations could be available for almost every skill and could be sold separately or in packs.

Any thoughts?

I'd love idle animations. Always loved this in different games as well. And I am sure that this will make areas like Priff / GE look more active instead of just some bankstanders doing nothing.
(Like banjo tooie/kazooie on the Nintendo 64, that the bear randomly plays on his Gameboy / Kazooie pokes his head)

In Runescape, I could see things happen like:
- Randomly read a book
- Sit on the ground
- Dust off toolbelt tools
- Balance a sword on the players finger tip and fail
- Juggle balls
- ...

:D

Awesome to see some like minded people :)

Really love the idea of grouping them up into skill packs!

+ the dusting off toolbelt items & reading a book animation.

The animations would all be so simple & discreet while giving characters a lot more personality.

Support. The only ones I like are the character-themed ones like revenant, barbarian, etc. I'd love some more immersive and subtle ones like the ones you mentioned. Maybe one that's a royal/noble animation where your character stands straight with one arm behind them and the walk would be one that appears very graceful and elegant. Or maybe a military commander one where the standing animation is of them with both arms behind their back and their chest puffed out, something that has a very military bearing to it.

In general, the emotion ones like happy, sad, angry, etc are way too silly for my tastes. I don't mind a bit of humor or goofiness here and there but lately, the game has really taken a turn for a more silly atmosphere and I can't stand it. I thought the idea was to pull RS away from the "kid's game" stigma.
