The Wealth Evaluator in game, provides a GP value of your bank, so Jagex could simply add the values of each tab into the interface, possibly as a drop down from the "Bank" field.

It all depends on how they calculate your bank value though. If it's just a simple summation of all items, then they would need to add a simple check of which tab each item occupies, then add all items in each tab. Although, this functionality probably already exists, as when you search for an item in your bank, it also tells you which tab it's located in on the tooltip.

I don't think it's that difficult to implement (although I have no idea how the code could impact on other parts of the game itself), but perhaps Jagex is waiting until they have hired someone with the skill set required to implement the Bank Rework (that's why it's shelved for the moment).
