So about an hour ago I reported a couple of blatant botters using spirit spiders / summoning and harvesting red spider eggs at Edgeville, between the bank and the smelter. We've been breaking the botters using clan vex and fires (and making a small profit off of their spider eggs when this stops them picking them up) but it would be nice to think that within an hour of being reported the super new bot detecting software that mod Mark was so enthusiastic about, and its ability to auto detect and catch all bots, would have been able to verify their activity. Heck, if a J-Mod looked at them for 5 minutes the botting is pretty obvious! Of course, they're on a members world, and I can't help but wonder, is it that (a) the bot detection s/w is simply failing; or (b) member bots safe because they're part of Jagex's income stream? The latter has been denied many times by Jagex, in which case the bot detection software is simply failing again!
