Runescape is now running on the model of:
P2P and pay-some-more-to-win
"All men are jealous and stupid, and all women are stupid to be happy about it, idiots are everywhere you look…"

@Mightyena69 A lot of people also don't feel the same as you. Also, Aion? That is a blatant rip-off of WoW, just listing WoW would have sufficed. I know, I have 2 copies of both games. It is really nothing like wow. You can even continue fighting the old way if you choose. Have you actually played EoC for more than 5 minutes? There are so many combinations of playstyles. WoW and Aion for that matter were always a matter of finding the most powerful combo then everyone else making cookie cutter copies on their toon.
Just because it uses hotkeys does not make it wow. They are implemented in a very different way. That's like saying Modern Warfare is the same as wow because you can use your number keys to change weapons. Maybe not quite as far of a stretch, but the games are very different and the way you play them is very different.

Kudos to Mod Zach for taking the time to take the beatings from the unhappy players.
I don't find much wrong with this update. Since I am happy with how my bank is at the moment, I have no need to buy spaces. But if another player is a hoarder and needs more space, let him buy 100 more spaces.
It doesn't affect me. If he has more junk than me it won't hinter my gaming experience. He can't skill faster or better with more items, he can just hold more. I keep my bank lean and can fit basically anything I need and still have room to spare. Nice update.

No.
Jagex just stop please. You claim to listen to your community. Stop lying. Just stop
This is clearly an in game advantage. Don't pretend otherwise. Jagex I am ashamed to play this game now.
Last chance.
One more buyable in game advantage, I quit.

Time to show supporters just how little this backspace would cost:
Runescape items are stored as binary data (just like any other computer data) consisting of bit (series of 1's and 0's, in the same way we use digits 0-9). Each runescape item has an ID and a quantity. There is possibly some other data we don't know about, which i'll generously over compensate for. (note: 8 bits = 1 byte, 1024 bytes in a kilobyte, 1024 kilobytes = 1 megabyte, 1024 megabytes = 1 gigabyte, and 1024 gigabyte = 1 terabyte)
Item IDs are 4 digit decimal numbers, with each possibility corresponding to a different item. The maximum value of 4 decimal digits is 9,999, or 10011100001111 in binary. That's 13 bits, so technically the max value they can store is 11111111111111 2^14-1, or 16,383 (ID 0 is reserved for an empty item slot). Runescape has way less than 16k different items, so this 4 decimal digit ID system is quite future proof.
In addition to an ID, each item has a quantity, up to a maximum of 2,147,483,647 in decimal, or 2^31-1. This number is 111,111,111,111,111,111,111,111,111,111 in binary, for a total of 30 bits.
So far, the item ID and quantity add up to 43 bits of data (just over 5 bytes per item).
There is likely some other meta data that we don't know about, lets approximate the total data consumer per item to 88 bits (11 bytes).
The data needed for the 250 new slows is:
11 bytes per item x 250 new item slots = 2,750 bytes, (2.68 KB) per player
Say ALL 200 MILLION ACCOUNTS :O got these new slots (note that most of these accounts aren't playing anymore and bots that likely won't activate the new bank space), heres how much we'd need (with this HUGE overhead margin i gave)
11 bytes per item x 250 new item slots x 200,000,000 players = 550,000,000,000 bytes, which is 537,109,375 KB, which is ~524,520.87 MB, which is ~512.22 GB
Currently, a 2.5 TB server grade hard drive runs for less than $200, or around 150 british pounds. However, they charge ~$35 per 250 items bought
