Why -- WHY -- was it decided to release updates haphazardly all over the internet? YouTube, Facebook, Twitter...instead of on a single page on the RuneScape site?
There's so many ads we have to deal with when we use sites like those. Corporate conformity is never cool. Just think, all that ad revenue given to social sites is money that could have been collected on this site.
I know what you mean about having a competition that people who don't use Facebook can enter. However, if you wanted to enter you can sign up and enter and then not use the account. I know that's not what we are looking for in terms of building on our existing Facebook community but it's a free platform for anyone to sign up with so no one is excluded.
As for other community platforms we do and will continue to do competitions for all platforms so don't feel left out. I am sure there will be more to come.

I don't have a Facebook and am not getting one because it's a security risk. Guess Jagex screwed me over
The only reason Jagex is having this...they are that desperate for meaningless "likes" on their Facebook page since they know a lot of the community is hatin on them at the moment.
Idk why anyone wouldn't participate in this. If I win... and then become immortal... that's like infinite membership for all eternity! And then Jagex will have to keep RuneScape running forever! Mwuahaha
