The companies that real-world trade offered in game bonuses, namely wealth. These COSMETIC updates do absolutely nothing to hinder the player base and it gives Jagex a way to add items players want without having to build quests and awkward reasons behind them.
If this update was so "bad" as you believe it is, why do people run around with Solomon gear? I see it everyday, and not just the below 200 coin mark.

I have been playing Runescape for years now, and I was once a proud owner of a veteran cape. I say was, because I think that the game is being ruined and I am no longer proud to wear that cape, and I am playing this game less and less. Runescape used to be a game where all players could have an equal chance of success, and everybody had access to the items in the game without any microtransactions, and the only fees required were membership subscriptions. This is not the case anymore. Solomon's store and the Squeal Of Fortune have ruined the game, and now there is many items that lots of players will never have. This makes me sick and I hope the game can stay alive long enough for you to realise your mistakes and correct them or for me to find a new MMO to play.

All in all, the origin of all these whining and complaints from this immature community is because they are cheap. Just because you are cheap and doesn't like to spend money buying extra cosmetic items, doesn't give you the right to take away other people's content. The community cries like my baby cousin when he doesn't get what he wants. Grow up, open the door, and walk outside. It's call living not sitting on your computer acting like Runescape is your whole entire life.

A lot of people are mad about this update because any time spent developing it is time that could be spent developing actual updates. A lot of recen quests have been short, easy and not very interesting. People just want quality content!

if they can't get enough cash from current membership cause of so many bots gone then they might as well raise the membership, some pep might not want, but at least we all get a chance to something by working it rather than just throwing away cash, even i wondered how jagex keeps the game with just 6.95+ box a month, i know there are many players but not so many that pay in comparision, and it's also insulting since there are many cosmectis stuff alredy that some pep don't like just to have to pay for the ones they like, or the ones u like that u can't wear often cause they don't replace ur looks in game except pvp, also, better content might as well make more pep interested on membership, and some1 who just leaves like that is barely 6.95 mothly lost, something that the current army of bots more than replace, and also, if they are going like this, do you really think they care about some individual lose over there, "o no, -xxx- is finishing it's membership, we better make it says it want or we might lose he/she/it"

btw, that they can add cosmetic stuff without some leveling and quests without sense behind it?o, then maybe, the camel and bear masks, the mobilising armies outfits, castle wars armour, loyalty shop, holiday items, fremennik cloths, canifis robes, gnome robes and many others are from other game conviniently named the same that for some reason hasn't been sued for copyright, and also, the cosmetic content that we "whine and complain" not having cause we are "cheap" might as well be integrated in the game, and the reason it is more noticeable is sometimes for some, not cause there's real world trade now, but cause there wasn't for 11 yrs, cause there were even policies that say they woudn't, and now they just throw it all away and went as far as to change the policies and shun negative feedback
