gratzzz jagex, i am very pleased you have made a good start with actually naming these accounts, more of this NAME and SHAME idea. :) we all know the rules of cheating and bugs and rules are for everyone not just a few who do the right thing. we pay a lot of money over time to be members and cheaters are not welcome here.

Nice to see some justice being done. But i got one question:
What will happen to the huge stacks of gp they had?
They had more money than there are players in the game, heck they had 100X more than that.
So, why cant u guys give some money to the needy?(such as me :P )
You could give 5mil to each acc ever made and still have billions in stock.
However I see that giving out free gp would also be helping the bots :( So there goes my idea lol

Please explain how these players have been banned and yet you refuse to ban botters, gamblers and scammers. I honestly do not understand what you people are thinking. Some cheaters are banned and botters continue to opperate on a daily basis. I cannot go to the ge without seeing scammers and gold sellers. Or are you just waiting til Oct to get rid of bots so you dont get flamed at Rune Fest, the same stunt you pulled last year. What a dishonest company. You treat us like we are stupid and we can't see through your manipulations. I report and nothing at all is done. Someone needs to fix this.

Night wish, you ask what would happen if you were the one that found the bug. I'm sure that would depend on what you did with the information, which in turn depends on your personal integrity. Suppose you did something, and suddenly 500m appeared in your inventory. Would you do it again? And again and again and again, and then sell the gold? Or, would you put in a bug report to Jagex?
Per the news report, not everyone that encountered the bug was banned. Some who may have encountered it innocently were merely rolled back. I'm sure that any that turned in a bug report probably were not punished.

Raaf, i swear, for being a member of runescape for over 5 years if i honestly committed any rule breaking it would have been " to try a bug that didnt work anymore" and i cannot stress enough how sorry i am for it but i swear to u it was fixed when i attempted to do it. If this is considered the same offence as the people who has actually were sitting for hours doing it then i will say no more. But i swear that not a single gp was made off this and any jagex official can check my account. I tried to appeal the offence but the mods in the player help section informed us that any account that was assumed to be part of this is locked and cannot recover it because it is under investigation. I tried to unblock it but it kept coming up as declined due to my account creation questions being incorrect. All i want is an official to look at my account and check if i anything wrongful was done because i honestly honestly ( and i dont wanna lie) tried to do this bug stupidly after it was fixed, and im soo sorry about this.

I didnt do this innocently and i did attempt to try it to c if it actually worked but the fact was that it didnt and i want to know if that is the same as some 1 who actually broke the rule and was caught actually using the glitch at the time it was working. Im not tryna be a pity case nor am i pleading to get my account back. All i want is a fair answer and investigation.

I'm extremely glad to see that Jagex has shown us what they're made of by providing a list of players along with it!
One of those players on the list was once in the Clan Silent Knight, so I'm completly convinced that this announcement is true based on his personality.
Thank you and please keep this up! I'm sure many would agree to Jagex disclosing the names of those who abuse glitchs/bugs.

I enjoyed reading your made up story so much, did you wrote it while you was crying or what? Things like this don't work, they wouldn't have permanently banned you for slightly abusing the bug, you MUST have been HUGELY abusing it and for a long time!
It is also funny how you claim being an honest player who never break the rules, when you got 2.1b cash for a 1.9k total and 198 days played, have you got that cutting yews or killing green dragons?
